GLASGOW REGISTRAR
PITBLIC HOTICE BY THE SHEEXEF.
In Virtue of the' Powers and Provisions of the Act 17 and 18 Victoria, chap. 80,
for the " Registration of Births, Deaths, and Marriages in Scotland," the Sheriff of
the County of Lanark has divided the City of Glasgow, and those portions of the
Barony Parish lying within the Parliamentary Boundaries of the said Burgh, into
Ten separate Registration Districts, each of which Districts shall be held to be, and
is hereby declared to be, a separate Parish, for the purposes of the said Act ; and has
fixed the distinctive Names by which the said Districts shall respectively be called
for the purposes of the Act, as follows, viz. : —
1st, CENTRAL DISTRICT.
2d, HIGH CHURCH DISTRICT.
3d, BRIDGETON DISTRICT.
4th, CALTON DISTRICT.
5th, CLYDE DISTRICT.
6th, BLYTHSWOOD DISTRICT.
7th, MILTON DISTRICT.
8th, ANDERSTON DISTRICT.
9th, TRADESTON DISTRICT.
10th, HUTCHESONTOWN DISTRICT.
And the Boundaries and Divisions of the said Registration Districts are hereby de-
clared to be as follows, viz. : —
1st, CENTRAL DISTRICT.
Thomas Davidson, 114 Candleriggs Street.
Bounded by the central lines of Inchbelly Road, Castle Stieet, Kirk Street, and High
Street, on the East ; by the central lines of Trongate Street and Argyle Street, on the
South ; by the central lines of Buchanan Street and Port-Dundas Road, and range
thereof, on the AVest ; and by the centre of the Forth and Clyde Canal, on the North.
2d, HIGH CHURCH DISTRICT.
Mr. Patrick, Cathedral Lodge.
Bounded by the central lines of Gallowgate Street, and Great Eastern Road, on the
South ; the Municipal Boundary of the City on the East, North-East, and North ; and
by the central lines of Inchbelly Road, Castle Street, Kirk Street, and High Street,
on the West,
