HACKNEY CARRIAGES.
PUBLIC STANDS.
The following places are hereby ap-
pointed Public Stands : —
1. George's Square (excepting the
west side, where no Carriage
will be allowed to stand), includ-
ing the Station of the Edinburgh
Railway, St. Vincent Place, and
Royal Exchange.
2. St. Enoch Square.
3. The top of North Street, near
Woodside Crescent.
4. The Cross, including London St.
5. Broomielaw, Upper Wharf.
6. Commerce Street.
The number of Carriages at each of the
Stands, or Divisions of Stands, and the
spaces to be occupied, shall be fixed from
time to time as may be found necessary.
Whenaparty not exceedingtwo grown-
up persons, and without any luggage
other than a carpet bag, or the like,
enters a Carriage at a Stand (not being
one of the Railway Stations), or when
driving along disengaged, they shall be
driven half a mile for Sixpence, and if
they return, they shall pay another Six-
pence.

well Street ; Glasgow Bridge ; Victoria
Bridge, north side; Suspension Bridge;
Broomielaw, at lower end of York Street ;

Station, Buchanan St. ; College ; Cross ;
Western Club ; Union Club ; Police Office,
central; Custom House; River Trust
Office, Robertson Street.
2. From St. Enoch Square to Buchanan
Street, top; High School; City Hall;
St. Andrew's Square, west end ; Hutche-
son Bridge ; Portland Street, to No. 120 ;
Windmill Croft, east end; Sauchiehall
Road, at Wellington Street ; South- West-
ern and Greenock Railway.
3. From North Street to Windsor
Terrace, east end ; Normal School ; Sau-
chiehall Road, near Wellington Street;
Cranston Hill: Sandyford Toll; Kelvin
Grove Gate; Anderston Gushet House;
St. Vincent Street, at Campbell Street.
4. From Cross to Gordon Street, east
end ; Royal Exchange ; Edinburgh Rail-
way Station ; Infirmary, Royal ; Gallow-
gate, at Sydney St. ; Infantry Barracks ;
Monteith Row, at Morris Place ; Custom
House ; South Wellington Place ; Crown
Street, at Rutherglen Loan ; George's
Square.
