PRINCIPAL COURT
Held in the Burgh Court Hall, on Friday,
at 1 1 o'clock, in cases of debts, &c,
exceeding 40s.
Summer term, from 12th May until
10th July.
Winter term, from 12th November
until 11th March, and occasionally during
the vacations.
POLICE COURTS
Held every lawful day, r-t 10 o'clock, in
the. Police" Office, South Albion Street,
Glasgow ; and in the Police Offices of
Gorbals, Anderston, and Calton lespec-
tively.
DEAN OF GUILD
Sits every alternate Thursday, at 11
o'clock, in the Burgh Court Hall.

SHERIFF SMALL DEBT COURT,
For the recovery of Debts not exceeding £8. Gs. 8d., sits every Thursday at 11
o'clock forenoon, and has jurisdiction over the whole of Lanarkshire. The Defenders
are cited before this Court on an induciae of six days; warrants to arrest on the de-
pendence are issued ; the decree may be extracted, and arrestments used upon it in-
stantly; and it may ha enforced, in all cases, by poinding and sale of the debtor's
effects, ten free days after its date. In case of the debtor removing to a different
county, the decree may be enforced against him there, on being endorsed by the
Sheriff- Clerk (:f the county to which he removes. Judges— Sheriff and Sheriff-Sub-
stitutes of the County.
Kate. — The Act authorising Imprisonment for Small Debts expired in 1840.
