This Company is so constituted as to afford to all parties the BENE-
FITS of Life Assurance in the most approved form and to the fullest
extent, by perfect security and freedom from all liability, with a right of
participating in the whole Profits of the Company, to the extent of
four-fifths ; a Principal of Division, making the distribution among those
who participate in proportion to the amount severally contributed by
them ; the highest benefits to all First Class Lives, form no imjust libe-
rality being shown to those who die early; veiy moderate Eates without
Participation, which, on yotmg lives, are equivalent to a present bonus of
very considerable amount.

The bonus declared in 1842 averaged on Policies, which had existed
from the commencement of the Company, upwards of 50 per cent, on the
Premiums received during the preceding seven years.
Assurances effected in equal, or ascending or descending scales, or in
any other way that the Interests of Parties may require.
