PUBLIC GROUND.
This is a description of Burying Ground which is kept by the Town for
the accommodation of such persons as have no Lairs of their own to
bury their dead in.
Burial of a Child under 8 years.
When the body is carried under a person's arm,
When the body is carried on handspokes,
When the body is carried in a chaise, drawn by one horse.
Burial of a Youth from 8 to 16 years.
When the body is carried on handspokes,
When the body is carried in a hearse, drawn by two horses,
Burial of an Adult from 16 years upwards.
When tlie body is carried in a hearse or on handspokes, . 5
The above Rates for the Private Ground, include taking orders for
the grave, di«vging and filling it up, and recording particulars connected
with the interment in the Public Registers. The price of Ground is also
included in the Rates for the Public Ground. Taking off and putting
on a flat stone on a grave, to be charged over and above these Rates, ac-
cording to time, but not to exceed two shillings.
