rr'HE Corporation grant Drafts, and negotiate or collect Bills, payable at the above places,
JL on terms which may be ascertained at their Office ; they ako issue Circular Notes and
Letters of Credit for the use of Travellers by the Overland Route.
They undertake the Agency of Persons connected with India and the Colonies, make
investments in the Public Funds, and other British and Foreign Securities, and receive Pay,
Pension, Dividends, and Interest for Constituents.
They also receive Deposits of £10 and upwards for fixed periods, repayable in one sum,
on terms which can be ascertained at their Office.
Application for the sanction of the Directors to Credits established by Firms here in
favour of parties abroad must be sent in not less than three days before despatch of the Mail,
otherwise they will be deferred until the Mail following. Bills for Collection in India and,
the Colonies, and other transactions involving correspondence by the Overland Mails, also,
applications for Drafts, are required to be sent in one clear day before the day of despatch.
The Corporation undertake the custody of Indian and Colonial Government Paper,!
Hank Shares, and other Stocks, and draw Interest and Dividends on the same as they fall]
due.
They also make the necessary Registry of Indian Government Loan Notes, so as to
obtain payment of the Interest in England.
