LIFE DEPARTMENT.
The advantages, without the defect?, of the Mutual System of Life Assurance are
offered by this Company, which is a Froprietarij Body, affording complete security ta
the Assured.
The Bonuses are allocated on a simple and equitable plan, which gives a fair share to each class
of Policies, and does not benefit the older assured at the expense of recent entrants. There has been
a steady increase in the raie of Bonus declared by the Company at successive investigations, while
in several of the oldest and largest Mutual Offices the Bonus Rates have been reduced from time to
time, and in the case of one Mutual Office of high standing and large busiuess there were no profits
to divide at last investigation.
FIRE DEPARTMENT.
Nearly all classes of risks are insured by the Company, and at rates as low as are consistent with safety.
Claims are adjusted with liberality, and settled with promptitude. Losses by gas explosions, in property
insured by the Company, admitted, and property burnt by lightning paid for. All the advantages of the
reduced duty given.
