THE FACULTY OF MEDICINE
Was originated for the purpose of establishing a
Medical Library, a Free Vaccine Institution, and for
other medical purposes. Meetings are held in the
Faculty Hall, St. Andrew's Square, on the first
Friday of every month, for ordinary business. The
library is open every Friday ; and on the same day,
from 12 till 1 p.m., the hrdl is open for gratuitous
vaccination.

Open for gratuitous advice to poor patients on
Tuesdays and Fridays, at one o'clock. Medicines
also being supplied gratuitously to suck patients as
are known to be in destitute circumstances.

This institution was formed in 1805, for the cure
of unfortunate females. The directors are chosen
annually, and consist of one from the clergy, one
from the Town Council, one from the Merchants'
House, one from the Trades' House, two from the
Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons, and sis from
the general body of subscribers.

GLASGOW MEDICAL SOCIETY.
Instituted 1814.

The object of this society is " the prosecution of
Medical Science." Its meetings are held in the hall
of the Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons, St. Vin-
cent Street, on the first and third Tuesdays of each
month, from October till May. At the first meeting
of each month a paper, essay, or other written com-
munication is read and discussed. At the second
meeting, the then prevalent diseases are brought
under review and commented on.
GLASGOW MEDICO-CHIRURGICAL
SOCIETY.— Instituted 1844.
The object of this society is to promote professional
improvement, and to advance medicine, surgery, and
the allied sciences. The meetings take place in the
Hall of the Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons, on
the second Tuesday of each month, commencing
March and ending October.
