BUSINESS IN SCOTLAND.
From special arrangements made for this Company, its whole business in Scotland will be so managed as to
make it essentially a Scotch Office, while possessing all the Influence, Security, and Stability of the whole
Company. In particular —
1st, The Policies will be granted and made payable in Scotland, so as to obviate the necessity, which is
applicable to the Policies of other English Companies, of the representatives of the Insured obtain-
ing at great expense Letters of Administration or Probates from the English Ecclesiastical Courts.
2J, This Company's Policies are also made transferable, according to the law of Scotland, by intimation to
the Company's Ofiice in Glasgow, thus avoiding the diflSculties and insecurity of eifecting transfers in
England.
3d, All questions or disputes that may occur with the Company, in reference to its Scotch Business, if
not settled by arbitration, according to the Company's Deed of Settlement, may be tried in the Scotch
Courts of Law, if desired.
