LIFE DEPARTMENT.
Assurances on Lives and Survivorships are effected by this Company
at Reduced Rates of Premium, and the Assured participate Quinquen-
niaily in the Profits. The Periodical Additions declared on Policies
may be applied either in augmentation of the original sum insured, and
payable therewith, or in reduction of the future Annual Premium, at
the option of the legal holder of the Policy. Foreign Residence and
Passages by Sea in Steam-packets or Decked Vessels, within the limits
of Europe, are allowed without Licence from the Directors, or Extra
Charge.
Endowments and Annuities granted.
FIRE DEPARTMENT.
Insurances on Property situate in any part of the United Kingdom,
and in the Islands of Guernsey and Jersey, effected on moderate terms.
Half the Profits of the Fire Department are appropriated to the Assured
every fifth year, on all Policies of £300, and upwards, which have con-
tinued in force for the two preceding years.
The DIRECTORS beg respectfully to intimate to the Assured, and
to the Public generally, that a Powerful FIRE ENGINE, having a
regular Brigade attached, is kept in constant readiness at the STATION
HOUSE, 37, WEST NILE STREET.
The Company's Engine will be dispatched to all parts of the City and
Suburbs, yj-ee of charge, the special attention and exertions of the Com-
pany's Engineer and Firemen being, on all occasions, given to the pro-
tection of property Insured with the West of England OflSce.
