In addition to the immediate and substantial benefit afforded by a scale of Premiums
considerably below those charged by other Offices, the Holders of all Policies, effected for
the whole term of Life, are entitled to participate in the Surplus Profits of the Company
every Fifth year. The surplus allotted to each Policy may either be added to the original
Sum insured as a BONUS, payable therewith at the decease of the Life, or applied in
REDUCTION of the future ANNUAL PREMIUMS.
The peculiar advantages of a Mutual Assurance Company are thus combined with the
Stability and unquestionable Security which a highly influential and liberal Proprietary,
a large subscribed and guaranteed Capital, and rapidly increasing Annual Revenue mani-
festly afford.
Free permission is given to persons (not being sea-faring persons in the course of their
occupation) to pass and re-pass betwixt all parts of the United Kingdom ; and also, in
time of peace, in Steam-packets or Decked Vessels, from British to Foreign ports, within
the limits of Europe, without licence from the Directors or extra charge.
In cases where Policies are discontinued after three or more annual payments have been
made on the same, the Company will purchase the interest therein at an equitable valua-
tion.
No Entrance- Money or Admission Fees are required, and no charge is made for Poli-
cies, except the Stamp-duty thereon. All claims upon the Company paid within three
months after the usual proofs.
