1841; married, 10th March 1863, Pkincess Alexandra Caroline Mary Charlotte Louisa Julia
(born 1st Dec. 18M), eldest daughter of Christian iX. of Denmark ; succeeded to the throne, 22nd Jan.
1901, on the death of his mother, Queen Victoria.
