The leading objects of this Company are —
I. ADVANCES.
1st, To advance money on the security of all kinds of Heritable Property.
2d, Advances for Building, Draining, Fencing, or other permanent Improvements on Heritable
Property.
3d, For making advances on the security of Annuities, Keversions, or other assignable
Property.
4th, For the purchase of Keversionary Interests heritably secured.

II. DEPOSITS.
The Company is also prepared to receive Deposits for longer or shorter periods at
equitable rates of interest, and to issue Debenture Bonds bearing interest payable half-yearly.
The present rates of interest are —
4 per cent, on Deposit for periods of One or Two Years.
4J „ „ for Three Years and upwards.
I DEBENTUEES for fixed periods at 4 to 4i per cent.
As the whole Funds of the Company are invested in Heritable Securities carefully
selected. Depositors and Debenture-holders have not only the full benefit of Heritable
Security at rates of interest on an average above what can be obtained on Heritable Bonds,
but have the advantage of being able to realize their capital on short notice.
