Deposit Eeceipts and Debenture Bonds are issued by the Company on
the following terms, viz. : —
DEPOSITS for one or two years, 4^ pee cent. ; for three years, 4f pee
CENT. ; and for four years, 5 per cent.
DEBENTUEES (in Bonds of £100, £500, or £1000 each) for five or
seven years, 6| pee cent.
The Deposit Interest Warrants and Debentuee Coupons are payable
half-yearly (2d January and 2d July) by the National Bank of Scotland, by
whom also the principal sums are paid at maturity. Interest runs from date
of payment to the Company's Agents.
The Deposits and Debentures are secured not only by the Investments of
the Company on Mortgage of Landed Estates in Canada, amounting at
present to about £667,000, lent over Property of more than double that value
(as ascertained by the Company's own Valuators), but also by their Uncalled
Capital, amounting to £706,849, distributed over a large and wealthy pro-
prietary in this country and in Canada.
There has been raised on Deposits and Debentures within the last five
years over £590,000, and the Directors are now desirous of placing about
£100,000 more at the above rates, for which early application should be made
to the undersigned.
