DEPOSITS.
THIS COMPANY PROVIDES persons who have Money with a secure and profit-
able CHANNEL FOR ITS INVESTMENT.
The Funds are invested on the security of Heritable Property in Scotland, approved of
hy experienced Surveyors and Valuators. The Sums, lent are from the first restricted to
an amount considerably under the market value of the Property, and by the system on
which the Business is conducted this margin of safety is periodically increased by the
gradual repayment of the Loan. Depositors have thus the advantage of the security of
carefully-chosen Heritable Bonds, and in addition, the personal security of a large and
responsible body of Shareholders for the subscribed Capital of £50,000.
T/ie -present Rates allowed by the Company for Money o)i Deposit- Receipt are as follows: —
For Six Months or One Year, - - 4 per cent.
„ Two Years, ----- 4i „
„ Three Years and upwards, - - 4j „
Interest is paid half-yearly, unless otherwise arranged, and is remitted by the Manager,
Jree of charge, on the dates when due.
LOANS.
Loans are granted on the security of approved Heritable Property.
The Directors wish specially to encourage the practice of parties
acquiring Property for their own occupation; and in accordance with
this desire the most favourable consideration, consistent with the
maintenance of a sufficient margin, will be shown to those who make
Application for Loans with this end in view.
In arranging for Repayment, the convenience of the Borrowers will be carefully con-
sidered.
