The Advantages and Facilities offered to Insurers with the Liverpool and London and Globe
Insurance Company are as follows, viz. :—
Life Policies are issued upon two dififerent Plans, namely: — Either upon a Scale of Premiums
entitling the Assured to a Participation in Profits; — or upon a Scale which, requhing a smaller
payment to secure a specified sum, does not entitle to such participation.
These Two Scales of Premium enable the Company to meet the wishes of those who desire to
accumulate Bonus Additions to their Policies ; and also of another numerous class, to whom the
lowest fixed rate of Non-Participating Premiums for a fixed amount of Insurance, without Bonus
Additions, are either more convenient or, for especial reasons— as, for instance, in some case of Trustee-
ship — more proper.
The Division of Profits will for the present be quinquennial, but the first declaration
of Bonus Additions to the Sums Insured upon the Participating Scale will be made for the
term ending 31st December 1878.
The Assured's Share will be Four-Fifths of the Profits so ascertained to have accrued upon Life
Policies of their class after the present date on the Participating Scale, and remaining in force on the
31st December 1878, and will be divided among the then existing Policies of that class, and which shall
have been in force for one or more years.
Claims under Policies will be paid in Thirty Days after the claim itself has been admitted, being the
same time as is allowed for the payment of Eenewal Premiums. This is an advantage peculiar to the
Company.
