Bags are dispatched to Leith at half past 7 o'clock
morning, half past 1, 3, and 5 o'clock afternoon ;
an A from Leith to Edinburgh at 12 o'clock noon,
i 4 o'clock afternoon, and 7 and 9 o'clock evening.
N. B. — The delivery of letters (called for at the Post-
office) on Sundays, takes place from a quarter before
. 8 o'clock morning till 10 o'clock forenoon, and fronri
oi 4 till 5 o'clock afternoon. For the accommodation
*^ of those requiring it, an arrangement may be made
at the office, for keeping letters in private boxes
' until sent for.

i Delivery of Penny-Post Letters.
I For Edinburgh a quartqr before 8 o'clock morning,
and 2 and ,5 o'clock afternoon. To Leith half past
7 o'clock morning, and 2, .3, and 5 o'clock evening.
From Leith, at 1 and 4 o'clock afternoon.
N. B. Letters put in at any of the above offices, to
go by the night or morning mails, or for the morning
penny-post delivery, must be put into these offices
before 9 o'clock evening, and for the closing of the
other mails and penny-post deliveries, an hour previ-
ous to each. There is a variation of the time at the
different offices, arising from the distance being more
or less from the General Post-office, and which those
residing in the neighbourhood should make themselves
acquainted with, to prevent disappointment.

for the Penny- post deliveries, and for the different

must be put in by 9 the preceding evening.
Additional Postage in Scotland By an Act of the
.53d Geo. IIL all letters and packets which shall be
conveyed, during any part of their progress, through
Scotland by a Mail-coach, are liable to an additional
1824-5.'
