The above Regulations will be enforced, and disputes adjusted in
the most summary manner, by the Magistrate in the Council Cham-
ber or Police office. Council Chambers, 28th Feb. 1824.
TABLE OF FEES FOR CARTERS,
Fixed by the Magistrates, June 8th, 1808.
The division of the City into districts, according to which the
Rates of Carriage after-mentioned shall be exigible.
First District. — To or from the Broomielaw, to Stockwell-street,
Glassford-street, and Frederick-street, up to the north side of
George's square, including both sides of these streets, the whole of
George's square, and every part of the city west of these streets;
also the upper side of George-street, west of Frederick-street.
Second District. — From the streets last mentioned, along both
sides of George-street to High-street, along Trongate and Gal-
lowgate to the Spoutmouth, including both sides of High-street,
from George-street southward; also, St. Andrew's square, and all
the streets and lanes between the said Spoutmouth westward, to
the first line of division.
Third District — All the streets, lanes and other places, within
the City, to the east of the second line of division, and to the north
of George-street.
The following Rate of Cartage shall be payable in the said res-
pective Districts.

For two puncheons of beans or meal, two
bales of yarn, or other large casks or
bales, or grain in bags, weighing about

cotton, or any number of barrels or

hides, or any other commodity that re-
quires a considerable time to load and
