This Company was established in 1805, and is Incorpo-
rated by Royal Charter, confirming the joint and individual
responsibility of all the partners, thereby affording the most
ample security to the Insured.
For the convenience of Farmers, and others requiring In-
surances for short periods, short date policies are granted ;
and farm stock is insured in one sum, wherever situated on
the farm.
Landlords may be Insured against loss of Rents by Fire,
at the same rate of premium that is charged for the build-
ings.
Persons Insuring for seven years at once are charged for
six only.
The rates of premium charged by the Company are —
For Common Insurance . . L.O 1 6 per cent.
Hazardous, . . . 2 6 do.
Doubly Hazardous . . 4 6 do.
Risks beyond Doubly Hazardous may be done by spe-
cial agreement.
Losses are promptly settled, and no charge is made for
policies, when the sum Insured amounts to L.300.
