THE Corporation grant Drafts, and negotiate or collect Bills, payable at the above places,
on terms which may be ascertained at their OiEce ; they also issue Circular Notes and
Letters of Credit negotiable in most parts of the World.
They undertake the Agency of Persons connected with India and the Colonies, make
investments in the Public Funds, and other British and Foreign Securities, and receive Pay,
Pension, Dividends, and Interest for Constituents.
They also receive Deposits for fixed periods, repayable in one sum, on terms which can
be ascertained at their Ofiice.
Applications for the sanction of the Directors to Credits established by Firms here in
favour of parties abroad should be sent in not less than three days before despatch of the Mail,
otherwise they might be deferred until the Mail following. Bills for Collection in India and
the Colonies, and other transactions involving correspondence by Outward Mails, also applica-
tion for Drafts, should be sent in one clear day before the day of despatch.
The Corporation undertake the custody of Indian and Colonial Government Paper,
Bank Shares, and other Stocks, and draw Interest and Dividends on the same as they fall
due.
They also make the necessary Registry of Indian Government Loan Notes, so as to
obtain payment of the Interest in England.
The Corporation have Correspondents in Western Australia, South Australia,
Queensland, Tasmania, New Zealand, California, Canada, The United States of
America, South America, South Africa, and in the principal Cities of the Continent of
Europe.
