Conducted on Uberal, yet safe and economical principles, it rapidly acquired, and has
ever since retained, the confidence of the public. It soon became, and stUl continues to be,
the largest and most influential Company of the kind in Scotland. Since its commencement
it has made advances for the purchase of property to no less an extent than iE700j000.

Sums of Money received on deposit, repayable on short notice. Interest paid or added to
accounts half-yearly., in May and November. The Jirst payment to a deposit account must not
be under £10, and subsequent payments not under £2.
