To the countries, etc., named in this Table, the Book Post is more restricted. Books and printed
matter can be sent, but no writing is admissible, nor indeed any manuscript marks whether in or
upon the packet beyond the name and address of the person to whom it ia sent.
Exceptimis. — A packet for Austria, Azores, Cape de Verd Islands, Denmark (vi^ Belgium), Egypt
(viS, Brindisi), Germany, Greece, Ionian Islands, Madeira, Portugal, or the United States, may con-
tain the written name and address of the sender; and unbound proof sheets sent to the foregoing
countries, or to Eussia, or (viS. Belgium) to Turkey, Moldavia, Wallachia, etc., may contain
ordinary correction of the press.

No packet must exceed 18 inches in
width, depth, or length, when sent to
Turkey, Syria, or Egypt by French
Packet, or to the Azores, Cape de
Verds, Madeira, or Portugal.
fBooks sent to Spain, the Balearic and
Canary Islands, must be unbound ;
and no prints, music, maps, or draw-
ings are allowed, unless they form
part of the publication with which
they are sent.
*Cases, rollers, maps, book-markers,
pencils, peus, etc., may form part
of a book packet when sent to coun-
tries marked* ; and maps, rollers,
and book markers may be pent to
Egypt, via Brindisi, and to the
United States.
^Photographs on paper may be sent only
to the countries marked thus J.
