BEG respectfully to direct attention to the advantages to be obtained by the Public, from the
numerous and extremely varied Branches of Lithographic Art executed in their Establishment ; and in order
to diffuse a knowledge of these, they annex the following List of the several Departments of Work carried on by
them : —
1. COM M ERCIAL WORK, of every Description, Lithographed, Engraved on Copper or Steel, or Letter-
press ; Printed Plain, or in Colours and Gold.
2. PLANS, Views of Estates, Charts, Mansions, &c., for Agents or Engineers.
3. GEOGRAPHICAL Maps and Atlases, Engraved on Stone, Copper, or Steel.
4. MANUFACTURERS' Pattern-Books, ENGINEERING Works, and every Description of Geome-
trical Drawings, Fac-Similes, &c.
5. ARTISTICAL SUBJECTS, viz., Landscapes, Architectural and Shipping Views, in Single or Double
Tinted Lithography ; Portraits from Life, on Stone, or from Drawings, Paintings, or Daguerreotypes ;
Hunting, Racing, and Animal Scenes ; Drawings of Natural History, Geology, Botany, &c.
6. CHROMOLITHOGRAPHY, in a very Superior Style, printed in Oil-Coloure.
7. RAISED TINT PRINTING over Copper or Steel Plate PRINTS, improves them greatly, giving
entirely the appearance and value of Djdia Paper Impressions at a moderate expense.
8. TRANSFER, from COPPER or STEEL, of Publishers' Maps and Atlases, Manufacturers' Pattern-
Books, Hlustrations of Artistic, Scientific, Belletristic, and Engineering Works. Bank Notes, Cheques, &c.
Messrs. S. & M'F. would particularly notice here, as the advantages of this kind of work, that the Plates are not
worn out, that their Impressions from Stone are eminently satisfactory, and much cheaper than those printed
directly from the Copper or Steel. Specimens sent on request
Messrs. S. & M'F. beg also to state, that, besides Lithography, Engraving, and Printing, they undertake the
Construction of Maps, Charts, and Atlases ; Enlarge and Reduce Designs on Paper ; Supply Sketches of every
Description for Wood Engravers, Carvers, Metal, or other Workers ; Furnish Ornamental Designs for the different
Manufactures and Trades ; Sketches of Ornamental and Fancy Letters ; Designs for Bookbinders, Jewellers, Seal
and Stamp Cutters, &c.
Diplomas, Testimonials, Genealogical Trees, on Paper or Parchment, Plain, or in
Colours and Gold, Printed or Hand Executed.
