To avoid jostling in meeting upon the Foot-pavements, observe
the general rule, **Keep to the Right," or, in other words
allow those that you meet to pass on your left. If this
well - known rule were more generally acted upon, much
inconvenience would, of course, be avoided in our crowded
Thoroughfares.
