The Court in Edinburgh is held every Monday, at
eleven o'clock forenoon, within the High Justiciary
Court room.
At Dalkeith the last Thursday of eVery month 5
and at mid Calder, by adjournment, four times in the
year.
Two or more Justices of Peace may transact business.
No Sum above 5I. can be sued for.
No practioner in the law allowed to act.
No appeal lies, but by reduction, on the head of op»
pression, to the Court of Session ; and the ftf.ny
complaining must find security for the amount of
the debt, also past and future costs. — Where a de-
cree has gone in absence, the cau^e may be re-heard,
upon consigning the Sums decerned for, and giving
intimation to the oilier party to attend.
Fees fixed by Act of Parliament.
