The Capital of the Company has been fixed under the sanction of an Act of Parliament, at Five Hundred
Thousand Pounds Sterling, besides wbich the Premiums and accumulating interest form a progressively in-
creasing fund, applicable to the purposes of the Institution.
While an undoubted guarantee is thus afforded for the Company's transactions, the Directors are resolved
to give every safe encouragement to the extension of the system of Life Assurance, by studying to conduct
the business of the Company on the most liberal principles, and by affording all the benefits and accommoda-
tions to parties assured with this Company which are granted by any other respectable establishment.
Any party assuring for the whole term of life, has it in his option to enter the class of assured, entitled to
participate in the profits of the company. The first division of the profits will be declared in the year 1835,
when, from the steady success with which the business of the Company has been carried on, there can be
no doubt that large additions will be made to Policies of this Class.
