WHETHER FOR A TERM OR FOR THE WHOLE OF LIFE.
The following are selected from the Even Rates : —
ALTERNATIVE.
■ On Policies for the Whole of Life one-third of the Premium may be left unpaid, to be deducted from the
'sum Assured, on a scale equal to interest at 4 per cent.
Tlius, at the age of 30, 20 guineas a-year will insure L.1300 in the first instance, to be reduced by L. 10,
18s. 5d., if the assured die within the first year ; by L.59, 2s. lid., if he die within the fifth year ; and so on
according to a scale endorsed on the Policy.
ASCENDING SCALE OF PREMIUM.
Thus, a man at 30, instead of L.2, 2s. for every year of life, according to the Even Table, by adopting the
Ascending Scale, will pay L.l, 8s. 7d. per annum, for the first seven years; L.l, 15s. Id. per annum, for a
further seven years ; and L.3, Os. lid. for every year of life after.
( FOREIGN RESIDENCE, &c.
I Persons voyaging or residing abroad, or engaged in the Naval or Military Service in any part of the world,
ihsured for the whole of life, or for any specific term.
I Insurances, either for foreign or domestic risks, may be effected without delay, and full particulars obtained
from the R-sident Director, at 70, Cornhill, or of the Directors' Correspondents in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
