Queen Victoria School, Dunblane
For the Sons of Scottish Sailors, Soldiers, and Airmen
President—Tim SECRETARY OF STATE FOR SCOTLAND.
Vice-President— THE GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING-IN-CHIEP,
SCOTTISH COMMAND.
The object of the School is to afford Free Education, Clothing, and Board for the Sons of Scottish
Sailors, Soldiers, and Airmen.
Boys may be registered at the age of 7 years, and are admitted up to 9 years of age.
The life is that of an ordinary boarding school, with the addition of drill and such military trades
as piping, tailoring, band music, etc.
The playing fields are extensive, and athletics form a part of the daily training.
The leaving age is 15 years, at which age a boy has three choices : —
{a) To return to his home or to an occupation in civil life;
(b) To join H.M. Forces ;
(c) ]{ reconamended, to continue his education in the Upper School until the age of 18.
A Scholarship is now available to a boy who successfully qualifies for Woolwich, Sandhurst <w
Cranwell. It is of sufficient value to cover his whole expenses uotil he goes into the Army as an officer.

The Royal Sailors' Orphan Girls' School
and Home

The Royal Sailors' Orphan Girls' School and Home, 96, Fitzjohn's
Avenue, Hampstead, N.W., have vacancies for Girls between the
ages of 4 and 12 who have lost either Father or Mother and whose
Father was in the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines or the Merchant
Service. Applications for admission should be made to the Secretary
at the Home.

Estabhshed at Devonport in 1839 to provide a Home for the Orphan Children of our Seamen, Marines
and Soldiers, where they are maintained, clothed and educated.
Orphans of men of the R.N.A.S., R.N.R. and R.N.V.R., who lost their lives whilst on duty in the
Royal Navy are equally eligible.
The Home is open to children of all denominations.
Age for admission, 6 to 13 years.
Members of the general pubUc and OiScers and Men of the Royal Navy are cordially invited to visit
the Home, which is open all day and every day (except Sunday) for inspection.
The Home is supported by voluntary contributions.
Subscriptions and donations will be gratefully received and should be addressed to the Hon. Treasurer,
Royal United Service Orphan Home, Stoke, Devonport.
