Facings Green.—Agents, Messrs. Cox and Co.—Embarked for India, February 1870.
1 Lieut. General Johnston served in the 66th Regiment in Canada during the rebellion of 1837-38, and afterwards
commanded the Regiment for many years on foreign service.
3 Captain Murphy served in the Royal Artillery throughout the Eastern campaign from June 1854 to January
1856; was present at Inkerman, and engaged in the six bombardments of Sebastopol, and not absent from regular
trench duty for a single day from first breaking ground to the end of the siege (recommended for distinguished
conduct). Served in the Turkish Contingent at Kertch from January 1856 to the end of the war (Medal with two
Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
5 Captain Healey served in the 83rd Regiment in the Indian campaign, and was present at the reduction of the
Fort of Arrah in Jan. 1858, at the siege of Kotah and its capture by assault, defeat of the Gwalior rebels at Kotaria,
surprise on and attack of the rebels at Seckur (Medal).
