* 1 Major Elliott served with the 7th Hussars in the Indian campaign from Feb. 1858 to March 1859 and was present
at the repulse of the enemy’s attack on the Alumbagh, siege and capture of Lucknow, affair of Barree, and action
of Nawabgunge, occupation of Fyzabad, passage of the Goomtee at Sultanpore, throughout the Byswarra cam¬
paign, including the affairs of Kandoo Nuddee and Hyderghur, also the Trans-Gogra campaign, including the
affair near Churda and pursuit, taking the Fort of Meejeedia, attack on Bankee and pursuit to the Raptee, advance
into Nepaul and affair at Sitkaghat (Medal with Clasp).
2 Captain Forster served the campaign of i860 in China with the Buffs (Medal with Clasp for the Taku Forts).
3 Major Scott served with the 89th Regiment in the Crimea from 15th Dec. 1854, including the siege and fall of
Sebastopol, and attacks of the 18th June and 8th September (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
4 Major Streatfeild served with a Detachment of the 24th Regiment at the defeat of the Jhelum mutineers on the
7th July 1857, and was severely wounded in both legs, right leg amputated (Medal).
1 Major Travers served with the 31st Regiment in the Crimea from 22nd May 1855, including the siege and fall of
Sebastopol, and attacks of the 18th June and 8th September (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).

I Quarter Master Cordue was present with the 59th Regiment at the operations before and capture of Canton in
1857 (Medal with Clasp).
4 Quarter Master Dixon served with the 55th Regiment in the Crimea from the 25th Dec. 1834, and was present at
the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Also served on the Bhootan expedition,
including the recapture of Dewangiri in 1865 (Medal with Clasp).
5 Quarter Master Grahame served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 with the 21st Fusiliers, including the battles
of Alma and Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol, and expedition to Kinbourn (Medal with three Clasps, and
Turkish Medal).
t Quarter Master Hart-M‘Harg served with the 44th Regiment throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55,
including the battles of Alma and Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol, attack and occupation of the Cemetery on
the 18th June (Medal with three Clasps, Medal for Distinguished Service in the Field, and Turkish Medal). Served
also the campaign of i860 in the north of China, including the action of Sinho, assault and capture of the North Taku
Forts (Medal with Clasp).
8 Quarter Master Higgins served with the Rifle Brigade in the Kaffir war of 1846-47, and in that of 1852-53 (Medal).
Also the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman, and siege of Sebas¬
topol (Medal with four Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
9 Quarter Master Humphreys served with the Grenadiers of the 94th Regiment in the action with and destruction
Of a desperate band of insurgent fanatics at Teermanam Coonettos in South Malabar in August 1849.
10 Quarter Master MTntyre served with the 79th Highlanders throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, in¬
cluding the battles of Alma and Balaklava, siege and fall of Sebastopol, and assaults of the 18th June and 8th
September, expedition to Kertch and Yenikale (Medal with three Clasps, Medal for Distinguished Conduct in the
Field, and Turkish Medal).
II Quarter Master Macleod served with the 93rd Highlanders throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, in¬
cluding the battles of Alma and Balaklava, expedition to Kertch and Yenikale, siege and fall of Sebastopol, and
assaults of the 18th June and 8th September (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal). Served also in the
Indian mutiny campaign of 1857-59, including the relief of Lucknow by Lord Clyde, defeat of the Gwalior Con¬
tingent at Cawnpore, and pursuit to Seraighat, affair of Kali Nuddee, siege and capture of Lucknow, affair of
Allygunge, battle of Bareilly, actions of Pasgaun and Russulpore and evacuation of Mithowlie (Medal with two
Clasps). Umbeyla campaign N.W. Frontier of India in 1863-64 (Medal with Clasp).
12 Quarter Master Lumsden served throughout the Crimean campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma
and Inkerman, affair in the Cemetery on 18th June (wounded), siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with three
Clasps, and Turkish Medal—has also the Medal for Meritorious Conduct).
13 Quarter Master Scott served with the 73rd Regiment during the Kaflir war of 1850-53 (Medal), and was present
in all the principal actions in Kaffirland; also at the battle of Berea—wounded. Served also in the Indian campaign
of 1858-59 (Medal).
