7 Captain Curtis served with the (ith Dragoon Guards in
the Crimea from 20th July 1855, including the battle of the
Tchernaya, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp, and
TurkishMedal). Served also in the campaign of 1857-58 against
the mutineers in India, including the actions on the Hindun
of the 30th and 31st May, battle of Budleekeserai, siege and
fall of Delhi, and subsequent operations under Brigadier
Showers ; also the affair of Mynpoorie and Kerkrowlie, cap¬
ture of Bareilly, relief of Shahjehanpore and subsequent
affairs at Mahundee and Shahabad (Medal and Clasp).
9 Major Chambers served with the75th Regt.inthe Indian
Mutiny Campaign of 1857 from the outbreak on the 12th May,
including the battle of Butlleekaserai, siege (wounded on 8th
June), storm and capture of Delhi (Medal and Clasp).

1 Lieut.General Marten joined the Army in the North of Spain in January 1814, and served the last Campaign In
the South of France. The following year proceeded to Belgium and was present in the retreat from Quatre Bras on the
17th June, and at Waterloo (horse wounded), and marched with the cavalry to Paris.
2 Lt.Colonel Crawley was present at the closing operations before Mooltan and at the surrender of the citadel 22nd
Jan. 1849. He served as extra Aide-de Camp to Sir Henry Dundas commanding the Bombay Division of the army of
the Punjaub during the march from Mooltan and the subsequent operations, and was present at the battle of
Goojerat and in the pursuit of the Sikh army to the river Jhelum (mentioned in despatches, Medal with two Clasps).
3 Lt.Colonel Prior served with the 12th Lancers throughout the Kaffir war of 1851-53 (Medal), including the passage of,* and
operations across the Kei. The Eastern campaign from 17th May 1855, including the battle of Tchernaya, siege and fall of Se¬
bastopol, and operations near Eupatoria under General D’AUonville (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish * Medal). The Indian

campaign of 1858-59 with the Saugor and Nerhudda field force, including the action of Banda where lie commanded the left
wing of the 12th Lancers, action of Jegunge and Kobrai, relief of Kirwee, and action at the storming of the heights of Pun-
warrie (mentioned in despatches, Brevets of Major and Lt.Colonel, Medal and Clasp).
5 Captain Weir served the Eastern campaign ol 1854-55, including the buttles of Balaklava, Inkerman, and Tchernaya
and siege and fall of Sebastopol 1 Medal and Clasps, 5th Class of the Medjtdie, and Turkish Medal).

Captain Weatherley served with the 4th Light Dragoons in the Crimean campaign from the 13th Aug. 1855, and was
s-nt at the battle of the Tchernaya, siege and fall of Sebastopol. He afterwards accompanied the Light Cavalry Brigade
to Eupatoria, and was present during the whole of the operations there under General d’Allonville (Medal and Clasp, and
Turkish Medal). Served with «he 6th Dragoon Guards in the Indian campaign from 1857 to 1859, including the whole of
the operations in Rohilcund, with ambuscade of Ku rowlie and taking of Bareilly. Was Adjutant of a Wing of the Cara¬
bineers at the attack and bombardment of Shahjehanpore, defeat of the rebels and relief of the Garrison; with the subse¬
quent affairs when the place was three different times attacked by the Moulvic. Also the capture of the lort of Ucmai and
pursuit of the Sepoys, destruction of the fort of Mohumdee, and the attack and taking of Shahabad. Served as Adjutant
of the regiment during operations in Oude, including the actions of Buxarghat, Doondickera, and pursuit of the rebel
chief Bene Madho. Served also during the Trans-Gogra campaign, including the affair near Churdal and taking of the fort
of Medjidia, attack on Bankec with pursuit of rebels to the Kaptee (Medal).
