2 Lt. Colonel Slade served in the Crimea
with the 6th Dragoons from 14 July 1855, and
was present at the battle of the Tehernaya,
siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with
Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served with the
7th Hussars in the Indian Mutiny campaign
in 1857-58, including the affair of Meean-
gunge, siegeand capture of Lucknow—severely
wounded (Brevet of Major, Medal with Clasp).
4 Major Grant served with the 9th Lancers
in the Indian Mutiny campaign, including
the battle of Budlekeserai, throughout the
siege and assault of Delhi (horses shot on the
19ih June and 14th Sept. 1857), actions of Bolundslmhur,
Allyghur, Agra, and Kanoge, capture of Meeangungee, re¬
lief of Lucknow by Lord Clyde (Medal with two Clasps).
Served throughout the campaign of I860 in North China,
ns Aide de Camp to Sir Hope Grant, including the cap¬
ture of Pekin (Medal with Clasps, and Brevet of Msyor).
6 Major Biggs served with the 4th Dr. Gds. the Eastern
campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Balaklava, Inker-
man, and the Tchernaya, and siege of Sebastopol (Medal and
Clasps, and Turkish Medal), and was acting Chief Paymaster of
the Osmanli Irregular Cavalry in the spring of 1856.

1 Sir James Chatterton served in the 12th Light Dragoons, now the Itoyal Lancers, in Portugal, Spain, Handers, and
Prance, from 1811 to 1818, including the affairs of Puente Guinaldo and Aldea de Ponte; the sieges of Ciudad Rodrigo and
Badajoz; frequently employed upon detached posts of observation and thanked for his exertions ; the actions of Uaagre,
Llerena, Passage of the Tormes, near Salamanca (town), and attack of the enemy’s rear-guard. Heights of San Christoval,
Rueda, Castrajon, and battle of Salamanca; affairs at Tudela, Valladolid, Celadadel Camiuho, to the investment and siege of
Burgos, actions at Monasterio, Bridge of Baniel, Quintana Palla Venta del Pozo, and Cabezon, actions on the retreat from Burgos
to Salamanca, thence to the combtl and passage of the Huebra, Torreqnemada and outposts to Ciudad Rodrigo, upon the
advance of the army in 1813; the passage of the Ebro and Esla, action at Osina, and battle of Vittoria, actions at Villa Franca,
Tolosa, to the siege and capture of San Sebastian. The actions on crossing the Bidassoa, and carrying the enemy’s fortified
entrenchments. The battle of the Nivclle, the actions at St. J ean de Luz, at Anglet, the Mayor’s House, Bidart, the battles on
the Hive from the 9th to the 13th Dec. 1813 ; the passage of the Adour, and investment of Bayonne; occupation of Bordeaux,
the passage of the Garonne, and affairs at Etaliers or the passage of the Dordogne, besides various skirmishes and minor affairs.
In InlS. the battles of Quatre Bras and Waterloo, to the advance on mid capture of Paris. He has received the Cross of Knight
of the Royal Hanoverian Guelphic Order, that of San Fernando of Spain, the War Medal and four Clasps for the battle of
Salamanca, Vittoria, Nivelle, and Nive, and the Waterloo Medal. P.cceived the commands of her Majesty to attend and hear
the Great Banner on the occasion of the Funeral of the late illustrious Duke of Wellington, “in consideration of ids long,
faithful, and distinguished services ”
3 Major Dunham Massy served at the latter part of the siege of Sebastopol, was under fire at the battle of the
Tchernaya, and commanded the Grenadiers of the 19th Regt. at the assault on the Redan on the 8th Sept., where, with
minor injuries, he was dangerously wounded by a ball which passed through his left thigh, shattering the bone. Being left
on the ground, he fell into the hands of the enemy the ensiling night, who supposing him to be mortally wounded, did
not remove him with their prisoners. Was recommended in a special despatch by the Commander in Chief in the Crimea
for his gallantry at the Redan, his fortitude, and the patient endurance with which he bore ids most severe suffering
during a confinement to his bed of nearly six months. (Medal and Clasp, Knight of the Legion of Honor, and Turkish
Medal).
5 Captain Wyatt served with the 14th Lt. Drs. in the Persian expedition of 1857 (Medal). Also in the Central India field
force under Sir Hugh Rose in 1858 and was present at the siege and capture of Rahutghur, action of Barodia, relief of
Saugor, capture of Gurrakota, forcing the Muddunpore pass, siege and capture of Jhansi (Medal and Clasp).
7 Captain Weaver served with tile Royal Dragoons during tile Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of
Bulaklava, Inkerman.and Tchernaya, and siege of Sebastopol (Medal and three Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
8 Lieut. Sedley served with the 1st Dr. Gds. in the campaign of 1860 in China, and was engaged at Sinho, present at
the fall of the Taku Forts, and engaged in the actions of the 18th and 21st September, also in the advance on Pekin
(Medal and Clasps).
9 Surgeon Andrews served with the 1st Dr. Gds. in the Crimea from Aug. 1855, including the battle of the Tchernaya
and siege of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Seived with the 2nd Dr. Guards in the Indian campaign
in 1858-59 including the siege and capture of Lucknow, and actions of Koorsee and Nawabgunge, Trans-Gogra affairs at
Bungaon (Medal and Clasp).
10 Riding Master Rant served with the Scots Greys during the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, and was present at the
affair of Mackenzie’s Farm, battles of Balaklava, Inkerman and Tchcrimya, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and three
Clasps, Turkish Medal, and Knight of the Legion of Honor),
