War Services of the Lieutenants.
365 Lieut. E. T. Stuart served the Waterloo campaign with the 28th Foot.
366 Lieut. William Stuart served under Sir Samuel Hood in the West Indies. At Copen¬
hagen. lu the Mediterranean on board the Cyane 28 guns under Sir Thomas Staines, when
that officer lost his arm in action with the Ceres 40 gun Neapolitan frigate. Gun-boats
and batteries in the bay of Naples, on the 27th June 1809. Served also at the reduction of
Trieste, in 1814.
368 Lieut. Syret served in the Peninsula with the 9th and was present at the siege of St.
Sebastian, and battles of Vittoria, Nivelle, and Nive, for which he has received the War Medal
with four Clasps.
369 Lieut. Tasker served in the Peninsula with the 57th and was present at the battles of
Vittnria and Pyrenees, for which he has received the War Medal with two Clasps.
370 Lieut. Tatloek served in the Peninsula with the 3rd Dragoons, and was present at the
battles of Vittoria and Toulouse, for which he has received the War Medal with two Clasps.
371 Lieut. E. J. Taylor prior to entering the army served as a midshipman on board H. M. S.
Belvidere, and was present in an engagement in 1809. Served in the south of France from Sept.
1813 to the end of that war in 1814, including the passage of the Bidassoa, battles of the Nivelle
and St. P6, and Orthes. He has received the War Medal with two Clasps.
372 Lieut. John Taylor (b. p. 90th Foot) served in the Peninsula with the 91st and was
present at the battles of the Pyrenees, Nivelle, Nive, and Orthes, for which he has received the
War Medal with four Clasps.
373 Lieut. Thomas served in the Peninsula with the 50th and was present at the battles of
Nivelle, Nive, OrtheS, and Toulouse, for which he has received the War Medal with four Clasps.
374 Lieut. Benjamin Thompson served in the Peninsula with the 48th and was present at the
battles of Talavera, Albuhcra, Nirelle, and Orthes, and at the sieges of Ciudad Kodrigo and
Bidajoz, for w’hich he has received the War Medal with six Clasps.
375 Lieut. H. W. Thompson served the Waterloo campaign with the 71st Light Infantry.
376 Lieut. K. K. Thompson served in the Peninsula with the 47th and was present at the
battle of Vittoria and siege of St. Sebastian, for which he has received the War Medal with two
Clasps.
377 Lieut. T. J. Thompson served in the Peninsula with the 34th and was present at the
battle of Albuhera, for which he has received the War Medal with one Clasp.
378 Lieut. Timbrell served the campaign of 1845-6 on the Sutlej (Medal), and was present in
the battles of Moodkee, Ferozeshah, Buddiwal, Aliwal, and Sobraon, in which last he had both
his thigh bones broken by grape-shot.
379 Lieut. Thornton served in the Peninsula with the old 94th from Feb. 1810 to Feb. 1814,
including the defence of Cadiz from April to Sept. 1810, Lines of Torres Vedras, actions of
Redinha, Condeixa, and Sabugal; battle of Fuentes d’Onor, second siege of Badajoz, action
of El Bodon, siege of Ciudad Kodrigo, siege and assault of Badajoz, battle of Salamanca,
capture of Madrid, battles of Vittoria, the Pyrenees, and Nivelle, at which last he was dange¬
rously wounded through the neck by a musket-ball, which carried away the lower part of the ear.
He has received the War Medal with seven Clasps.
880 Lieut. Tighe served the Waterloo campaign with the Grenadier Guards.
381 Lieut. Tipping served in the Peninsula with the Staff Corps of Cavalry

, and was present
at the battles of Nivelle, Nive, and Orthes, for which he has received the War Medal with three
Clasps.
382 Lieut. Tittle served in the 38tb, on the Walcheren expedition in 1809 ; also the Penin¬
sular campaigns, from April, 1811, to the end of that war in 1814, including the storming of
Badajoz. battle of Salamanca, various skirmishes on the retreat trom Burgos, action at Osma,
battle of Vittoria, siege of San Sebastian, and investment of Bayonne. In 1818 he served on
Commando through Cafferland. At the siege of San Sebastian he acted as an engineer, and was
severely wounded on the 31st August, whilst

showing a ford to Col. Femes of the Portuguese
sirvicc. He has received the War Medal with four Clasps.
383 Lieut. Town served in the Peninsula and was present at the battle of Vittoria and siege
of St. Sebastian, for which he has received the War Medal with two Clasps.
384 Lieut. John Townsend served in the Peninsula and was present at the battles of Nivelle
and Nive, for which he has received the War Medal with two Clasps. He served also the
Waterloo campaign.
386 Lieut. Trench served at Walchcren in 1809.
388 Lieut. W. Tunstall served in the Peninsula with the 36th and was present at the battle
of Nivelle, for which he has received the War Medal with one Clasp,
389 Lieut. Thomas Turner served in the Peninsula with the 23rd and was present at the
battles of Corunna, Vittoria, and Nivelle, for which he has received the jWar Medal with three
Clasps.
390 Lieut. Vallancey served in the Peninsula with the Koyals, and was present at the battles
of Busaco, Fuentes d'Onor, Salamanca, and Nive, and at the siege of Badajoz, for which he has
received the War Medal with five Clasps.
391 Lieut. Vesey served in the Peninsula with the 76th and was present a the battles of
Nivelle and Nive, for which he has received the War-Medal with two Clasps,
