Peninsula from June 1810, to the end
of the war, including the battles ol
Busaco and Albuhera ; siege and
storming of Badajoz, 1812 ; affair
with the Advanced Guard of the
French near Carazal ; battles of
Salamanca, Vittoria, the Pyrenees,
Nivelle, Orthes, and Toulouse.
Severely wounded in the Pyrenees,
26th July, 1813, and at Toulouse.
Served also in the American war,
including the battle at Plattsburgh.
5 Captain Smith, previously to entering the army,
served for a short period in the navy, and was three
times wounded. Served in the Peninsula from June
1813 to the end of the war, and was present at the affair
of Ordal. Severely wounded at Waterloo.
6 Dr. Mostyn served in the Peninsula, from Jan.
1811 until the end of the war, including the siege of
Badajoz, April 1812 ; battles of Salamanca, Vittoria,
and the Pyrenees; storming of San Sebastian with the
Volunteer party; battles of Orthes and Toulouse.
Served in the American war, including the action at
Plattsburgh. Present on the 18th June at Waterloo.

1 Sir Lowry Cole commanded a brigade at the battle of Maida, and a division in the Peninsula and in France ; he has re¬
ceived a Cross and four Clasps for Maida, Albuhera (wounded), Salamanca (severely wounded), Vittoria, Pyrenees, Nivelle,
Orthes, and Toulouse.
2 Colonel Hare, previously to entering the 27th Regt. served in the Tarbert Fencibles, from which he volunteered to
serve in the expedition to Holland in 1799, and was present at the landing at the Helder, and the landing and advance upon
Ferrol. Served the Egyptian campaign of 1801, for which he has received a medal. Present at the capture of Ischia and
Procida. Served in the Peninsula from August 1812 until the end of the war, including the taking of Alcoy ; battles of Biar
and Castalla ; siege of, and operations before Tarragona, and blockade of Barcelona Wounded at Waterloo.
3 Major M'Pherson served in Calabria in 1806. Present at the capture of Ischia in 1809. Served the campaigns of 1813
and 14, in the Peninsula, including the battles Biar and Castalla ; siege of Tarragona ; affair at Ordcll (severely wounded
through the body and left arm,); and blockade of Barcelona. Served also in the American war, including the battle of Platts¬
burgh.
