assaults of Ciudad Rodrigo and Badajoz. Severely wounded at the storming of Ciudad
Rodrigo.
18 Major James j\dair served in the Peninsula from 1812 to the close of that war in 1814,
and was present at the taking of Alcoj, covering the retreat from Biar, battle of Castalla,
siege and subsequent blockade of Tarragona, and action at Villa Franca.
19 Major Thomas Seward was at the battle of Cojienhagen, in 1801 ; and at Navarin, in
1827.
20 IMajor Wm. Bruce served in the Peninsula from 1812 to the end of that war in 1814,
including the battles of the Pyrenees 28th, 29th, and 30th July, blockade of Parapeluna,
battles of Nivelle and Nive (10th to 13th Dec), investment of Bayonne, and battle of
Toulouse. Served also the campaign of 1813, and was severely wounded at Waterloo.
21 Sir Trevor Wheler served in the Peninsula from June 1810 to the end of that war in
1814, including the actions of Pombal, Redinlia, i^oz d'Aroace, and Sabugal ; battle of
Fuentes d'Onor, affairs of Llerena and Castrejon, battle of Salamanca, retreat from Burgos,
battles of Vittoria, Nivelle, and Nive 9th to 12th Dec. Served also the campaign of 1815,
including the battle of Waterloo.
22 Major H. A. Fraser served in Portugal and Spain, in 1808-9, under Sir John Moore,
including the battle of Corunna ; with the expedition to Walcheren, 1809 ; the Peninsular
campaigns from 7th Aug. 1810 to Dec. 1812, and again from Feb. 1814 to the end of that
war, including the battles of Busaco and Fuentes d'Onor, siege of Ciudad Rodrigo, battle of
Salamanca, siege of Burgos, (severely wounded through the body), and battle of Toulouse,
where he was again severely wounded, a musket-ball having entered the right thigh. Served
also the campaign of 1815, including the battles of Quatre Bras and Waterloo, at which
latter he was slightly wounded.
23 Major Thomas Wright was slightly wounded at Waterloo.
24 Major Barralier served at the capture of Martinique, in 1809 ; and of Guadaloupe, in
1810, and again in 1815.
25 Major James Henderson served at the siege of Copenhagen and action at Kioge, in
1807 ; with the expedition to Sweden, and afterwards to Portugal and Spain, under Sir John
Moore, in 1808—9, including the action at Lugo, and battle of Corunna ; with the expe¬
dition to Walcheren, in 1809 ; the campaigns of 1814 and 15 in France and Flanders, in¬
cluding the affair of Tarbes, and battles of I'oulouse and Waterloo, at which last he was
severely wounded in the thigh by a grape-shot.
26 Major Welman served at the battles of Roleia, Vimiera, and Corunna. With the ex¬
pedition to Walcheren, in 1809 ; and subsequently in the Peninsula, including the siege of
Tarragona, in 1811, and San Sebastian, in Sept. 1813.
27 Major Wm. Smith served at the capture of Martinique, in 1809.
28 Major Workman served at the capture of Martinique and the Saintes, in 1809 ; and of
Gaudaloupe, in 1810, and again in 1815.
29 Major Hore served in Egypt, in 1801, and has received the medal.
30 Major Lawrence served in Egypt, in 1801, and has received the medal.
31 Major Robert Kelly served in the Peninsula with the 3th battalion of the 60th, and
was severely wounded in action with the enemy, 19th March 1814.
32 Major Wilkinson served on board H.M.S. Dromede, in Lord Duncan's fleet off Cam-
perdown, blockading the Dutch fleet in the Texel, in 1798 ; after which proceeded to India
and fell in with a large body of Malay pirates off Batavia, which were completely destroyed.
On hoard the Leander at the capture of the Ville de Milan French frigate, and recapture of
the Cleopatra, off Bermuda. Served also in the expedition on tlie north coast of Spain,
under Sir James Malcolm, and Captain (now Colonel) Parke. Major Wilkinson has served
in every quarter of the globe, and was taken prisoner by the Americans near Norfolk in
Virginia while carrying despatches. Medal for services in Egypt.
33 Major Thomas Kelly served the F.gyptian campaign of 1801, and has received the
medal.
34 Major R. B. Hunt served at Hanover, in 1805 and 1806 ; at Copenhagen, in 1807;
and in the Peninsula from Sept. 1810 to May 1812, including the siege of Ciudad
llodrigo.
35 jMajor Shadwell Clorke served the Peninsular campaigns of 1808, 9, 10, and first part
of 1811, including the battles of Kolifa and Vimiera, retreat to Corunna, actions at Lugo
and before Corunna, battle of Corunna (contused on the forehead by a musket-ball), opera¬
tions on the Coa during the siege and battle of Almeida, battle of Busaco, retreat to the
lines of Torres Vedras, affair near Leiria, and actions of Pombal and Redinha, at which last
he was severely wounded in the right leg, which was afterwards amputated.
36 Major C. A. Bayley served in the Peninsula, in 1808, 9, 10, 11, and part of 1812, and
was present at the affair of Alberche, and battle of Talavera, as Adjutant of the 3lst. Ap¬
pointed Deputy-Assistant-Adjutant-Genei'al, in Jan. 1810, and attached to the 2d division
under Lord Hill, in which capacity he served during the retreat to the lines of Torres
Vedras, and subsequent advance and pursuit of Massena ; also at the first siege of Badajoz,
the affairs of Campo Mayor and Olivenja, and other minor affairs during the operations ia
