Montgomery and Merioneth.—1 Lt.Col. Pryce served with the 2nd Queen's Royals in the
campaign in the Southern Mah-Fatta Country and the Concan in 1844-45, and was in the storming
party at the capture of the fortress of PanuUa ; and commanded an outpost at the capture of
Munohur and Munsuntosh.
2 Major Beadnell served the campaign of 1840-41-42, and was present in the actions of Killa
Aziden Goaine, Ghuznee, occupation of Cabnol.and all the affairs in which the Candahar Division
under General Nott was engaged in its progress through the Khoord Cabool, Tezeen, JugduUuck,
and Khyber Passes (Medal).
Norfolk.—1 Captain Hon. Fred. Walpole ^as engaged in the operations in China (Medal),
while serving as Flag Lieutenant to the Naval Commander in Chief, Sir G. H. Seymour.
4 Captain Dods served with the 14th Regt. in the trenches at the siefje and fall of Sebastopol
and assault of the 18th June (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
5 Lieut. Hardement served in Sclnde with a party of volunteers 17th Regt. protecting the siege
train and ammunition tracked up the Indus; and served the campaign in Affghanistan and
Beloochistan, including the storm and capture of the fortresses of Ghuznee and Khelat (Medal
for Ghuznee, and Medal for meritorious conduct).
Northampton. —1 Captain Savage served with the Royal Artillery in the Crimean campaign
in 1855, including the battle of the Tchernaya, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp, and
Turkish Medal).
Nottingham.—1 Captain Girardot commanded a detachment on board the Sirkenherid,
when wrecked off Danger Point, Cape of Good Hope, on the night of the 26th Feb. 1852. He
served with the 43rd in the Kaffir war of 1852-53 (Medal).
2 Major Wrixon served in Spain from April 1812 to the end of the campaign, including the
first siege of Tarragona, retreat therefrom, actions before Alcoy, battle of Castalla, second siege of
Tarragona, action at Ordal, investment of Barcelona, besides various other affairs. Served also at
the siege and capture of Genoa, and with the expedition to Naples.
Oxford. 1 Captain Sparke served with the 68th Light Infantry at the siege and fall of Sebas¬
topol from 19th May 1855 (Medal with Clasp, and Turkisli Medal).
Perth.—1 Captain Riddell served with the 7th Dragoon Guards in the Kaffir war of 1846-47
(Medal).
Queen's County,—1 Captain Battiscombe served with the 68th Light Infantry the Eastern
campaign of 1854-55, including the battle of Alma, siege and fall of Sebastopol, and was wounded
on 12th January 1855 (Medal and Clasps, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
Roscommon.—1 Lieut.Colonel Caulfield served as a Lieut, in the 4th Regt. from 1809 to
1813, in the Mediterranean and on the coast of Africa, and in the Peninsular war ; was present in
the advance to Madrid, battle of Salamanca, sir o of Burgos, and several affairs on the retreat
from Burgos. He has received the War Medal wi.ii one Clasp.
Ross.—1 Colonel Fraser served in the Peninsula as a Captain in the Coldstream Guards, and
was wounded at the attack on Burgos: right leg amputated. He has received the War Medal
with one Clasp for Salamanca.
Shropshire.—2 Captain Russell served in the Royal Navy, and was on board H. M. S. Albion,
with Admiral Sir F. A. Oramanney, at Navarino (Medal).
Stirling:.—1 Captain S. Kenny served in the CafTre war of 1851-52 and 53 (Medal).
Suffolk.—1 Major Parker served seventeen years with the Army of India, and was present at
the sieiie and capture of Bhurtpore and its dependencies in 1825-26 (Medal).
2 Captain Oakes served in the 1st Royals at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from 11th July
1855 (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
Surrey.-1 Lieut.Colonel Parratt served at Walcheren in 1809; and in the Peninsula from
1811 to the end of that war in 1814, including the defence of Cadiz, siege of San Sebastian, battles
of Nivelle and Nive, actions at Vic Bigorre and Tarbes, and battles of Orthes and Toulouse. He
has received the War Medal with five Clasps.
2 Lieut.Colonel Evelyn was present at the defence of Kalafat in 1854. He was appointed by
the British Government to serve under General Cannon with the Staff of the Turkish Army, in
which he received the rank of Keimahan. He accompanied the Allied expedition to the Crimea,
and waspresent in the battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman ; in the trenches before Sebasto¬
pol, and at the defence of Eupatoria. Received the honorary rank of Lieut.Colonel in the British
Army, 23rd Oct. 1857 (Medal and four Clasps for the Crimea, and Turkish Medal).
3 Captain Bellew served in the Pindarree war, and was present at tlie surrender of Ajmeer and
Kummulnair, storming the town, bombardment and surrender of the fort of Madpoorajpore,
attack and capture of the fort of Lamba Rajesthan; was employed against the Hill Tribes of the
Lurka Kholes; served during the first Burmese war (Medal) as Military Secretary to Brigadier
General Morrison, and was present at the afi'airs of Padirah and Mahatee, and storm and capture
of the fortified heights of Arracan.
4 Captain Dawes served with the 97th Regt. in the trenches at the siege of Sebastopol from
20th Nov. 1854 to 16th July 1855 ; as Captain in command of a party of tlic 97th succeeded in
repelling a sortie against the advanced trenches on our right attack on the night of the 15th
April; present also with the Regt. in reserve, in the advanced trenches right attack during the
assault on the Redan on the l&th June (Medal and Clasp).
5 Qr.Master Connor served at the siege and capture of Bhurtpore in 1825-26 (Medal).
Sussex—1 Lt.Colonel St. Clair served with the Bombay Horse Artillery in the campaign of
1839-40, in Affghanistan, and was present at the storm and capture of Ghuznee (Medal), and
occupation of Cabool ; also at the storming of Khijjuck.
Tipperary.—1 Captain Mackenzie served the Gwalior campaign with the 50th Regt. and
was present at the battle of Punniar (Medal).
