28 Captains Nixon and H. R. L. Xewdigate served in the Eastern campaign of 1854, including the
battle of Alma (Medal and Clasps).
28t Major Bourchier served in the Kaffir war of 1852-53 (Medal). Also in the Eastern campaign of 1854,
including the battles of Alma, Halaklava, and Inkerman (as Aide-de-Camp to General Torrens), siege of
Sebaslopol, night atiack and capture of tlie Ovens, where he succeeded to the command of the detachment
of Riflemen on the death of Lieut. Tryon, for which he was mentioned in the Dispatches, and promoted
Brevet Major (Medal and Clasps, Victoria Cr.iss, and Knight of the Legion of Honor).
29 Capt. Blackett served the Eastern campaign of 1834-55, including the battles of Alma, Balaklava, and
Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol; commanded a ladder party at tlie assault of the Redan on the ISth June,
and was dangerously wounded—left leg amputated (Medal and Clasps, and Knight of the Legion of Honor).
30 Captain Stephens served at the siege of Sebastopol from .Ian. to April 1855 (Medal and Clasp).
31 Captain Windhara served in the Eastern campaign, including the battles of Alma and Balaklava,
and siege of Sebastopol until April 1855 (Medal and three Cla«ps).
32 Capt. Deedes served the Eastern campaign of 1854, including the battles of Alma and Inkerman, and siege

33 Capt. Thynne served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battle of Alma, siege and fall of

34 Captain Cuninghame served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma, Bala-
klava, and Iiikerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol, attack and capture of the Rifle Pits on the night of 20th
Nov. 64 (mentioned in Dispatches), and atiack on the Ovens (Medal and four Clasps, and Victoria Cross).
35 Capt. Biversdale Glyn served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 with the Sth Hussars, including the expe¬
dition into the Dobrudscha, battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol; promoted to a
Company in the 1st Batt. Rifle Brigade in Aug. 1855, and served with the reserve at the storming of the Redan
on the 8th Sept. (Medal and Clasps).
36 Capt. Hon. L. W. Milks served with the 43rd Light Infantry in the Kaffir war in 1851-52 (Medal).
37 Captain Dillon served with the B8ih Regt. in the Punjaub campaign of 1848-41) (Merlal), also with
the Flank Companies in the force under Sir Colin Campbell at the forcing of the Koirat J'ass in l"eb.l850.
37t Captain Earle served on the sfafl' of Sir George Cathcart in tlie Kaffir war of 1851-53 (Medal).
38 Captain Robertson served wiih the 0(ith Rifles in the Kiflir war of 1851-53 (Medal).
38t Captain Urett served in the Kaffir war of 1846-47, and that of 1852-53 (Medal); and he was severely
wounded at the battle of Boem Plaats in 1848. Served tlie Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the
battles of Alma and Inkerman and siege of Sebaslopol (Medal and Clasps, and Knight of the Legion of
Honor).
30 Lieuts. Musgrave, J. P. C. Glyn, Tottenham, Rooper, Ruthven, and Nicholl, served at the siege of
Sebastfjpol in 1855 (Medal and Clasp).
39t Lieut. Saunders served at the siege of Sebastnpol from Jan. 1855, and was with the covering party
leading the attack on the Redan on the 18th June (Medal and Clasp, and Sardinian Medal).
40 l.ieuts. Lane and Cragg served in the Eastern campaign of 1855, inclujiiig the siege and fall of
Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp).
41 Lieuts. Moore, PLtyne, Eyre, Eccles, and Riley, served at the siege of Sebastopol in 185.5, and were
wounded at the attack on the Redan on the Sth Sept. (Medal and Clasp). Lieut. Moore has also the Sar¬
dinian Medal.
42 Paymaster Peacock served in Kaffraria in the campaign of 1846; and with one of the columns
which penetrated the Amatola Mountains in the Spring of 1847 (Medal). He served also with the troops
under Sir Harry Smith which crossed the Orange River in 1848 to suppress the insurrection of the Dutch
Boers, and was present in the action of Boein Plaats. Served the Eastern campaign of 1854-53, including
the battle of Alma (Medal and Clasjj).
43 Surgeon Bowen served in the Kaffir war of 18.52.53 (Medal), and acted as Principal Medical
Officer to the expedition against the Kaffir Chief Kreli, in Aug. 1852. Was shipwrecked in H. M. S.
Blrheiihead oft' Danger Point, Cape of Good Hope, 2fith Feb. 1852. Served the Eastern campaign of 18.54-55,
including the bailies of Alma and Inkerrr;an and siege of Sebastopol (Medal and Clusps).
44 Assist.-Surgeon Williams served the Easiern eanii)aign of 1854-55, including tlie battles of Alma,
Balaklava, and Inkerman, and siege of Seba^topol (Medal and Clasps).
45 Paymaster Large served in the Kaflir war of 1852-53 (Medal); also the Eastern campaign of
1854-55, including the battles of Alma and Inkerinan, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasps).
46 Quarter-Master Harvey served in (he Eastern cariii>aign, including the battler, of Alma and Inker-
man, and siege of Sebestopol until June 1855 (Medal and three Clasps, also the Medal for distinguished
conduct in the Field).
49 Doctor Fiaser served throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma and
Inkerrnan, and siege of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasps, and Knight of the Legion of Honor).
5(1 Doctor Scott served with the Ride Urigade in the Kiifflr war of lSi2-S3, including the expedition beyond the Kei in
Aug. 1852, and the final clearing of the Wali-rkloof. Embarked with the Rille Brigade and served throughout the Eastern
campaign of 1854-55,—from March 1855 as Surgeon of the 41st Regt. (Medal and four Clasps).
51 Assist.-Surgeon Reade served tile Eastern can-paign of 18.54-55, including the battles of Alma and
Inkerman, siege of Sebastopol, and sortie of 26th Oct. (Medal and Clasps).
52 Captain Fremantle served in the Eastern campaign from Nov. 1854 to June 1855, and was severely
wounded in the attack of the Redan on the 18th June (Medal and Clasp, and Sardinian Medal).
53 Lieut. Singer served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma and Inkerman and
siege of Sebastopol (Modal and Clasps). '
54 Lieut. Knox served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma, Balaklava, and
Inkerman, siege of Sebastopol, repulse of the sortie on 26th Oct., and with the ladder party in the attack of the
Redan on the 18th June (mentioned in Dispatches), when he was severely wounded by grape-shot—left arm
amputated at the shoulder (Medal and Clasps, Victoria Cross, and Knight of the Legion of Honor).
55 Lieut. Grey served at the siege and tall of Sebastopol, and attacks on the Redau on the 18lh June and Sth
Sept. (Medal and Clasp).
5B Lieut. Sydney Carr Glyn served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from 6th Sept. 1855, including the
assault on the Redan on the 8ih Sept. (Medal and Clasp).

61 Lieut. Hon. A. J. Pennington served on board H.M.S. Bellcrophon as Midsliipnian at the bombard¬
ment of Sobaslopol on 17tli Oct. 1854 (Medid and Clasji).
02 Doctor da Chauraont served the Easiern campaign of 1854-55, including the siege and fall of Se¬
bastopol (Medal and Clasp).
63 Doctor CuUeii was attached to the 68th and 48th Regts. for nine months during the siege of Sebas-
topol; and was with the 4th Light Dragoons on the cavalry expedition to Eupatoria (Medal and Clasp).
