Cardigan (in command of the squadron 13th Lt, Drags-)) battles of Balaklava (horse shot), InKerman, and Tchemaya,
and siege of Scbastopol; also present with the Light Brigade at Eupatoria (Medal and three Clasps): he was senior
oflicer of the 13th Lt. Drags, out of tlie charge at Balaklava, and re-formed the Regiment, for which he received the brevet
