with the Meerut Light Horse in 1857-58 (Medal).
6 Captain Stapleton served with the Rajpootana field force in 1857-58, and was present at the siege and capture of
Kotah. Served as 2nd in command of the Bengal Yeomanry Cavalry in pursuit of rebels on the Nepaul frontier (Jledal
with Clasp for Central India).
8 Captain Coghill served as Adjutant of the 2nd European Bengal Fusiliers throughout the Indian Campaign of I8.'i7-58,
and was present at the battle of Hudleekeserai, storming the heights in front of Delhi, throughout the siege of Delhi
including the actions in tront, storming of the breach Cashmere Bastion, and final capture of the city. Served in General
Showers'force in the taking of the forts of Rewarrie, Jujjtjur, Ranaude, Furrucknuggur, and Bullumbghur; also
present at the capture of the heights of Sonah (Medal with Clasp).
9 Captain Duncan served the Eastern campaign of 1854-35, including the affair of Bulganak, battles of Alma, Baln-
klava (horse killed), Inkerman (horse killed), and Tchernaya, and siege of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasps, Sardinian and
Turkish Medals, and 5th Class of the Medjidie). Served in the campaign of 1858-59 in Central India and was presentat
the action of Zerapore (Medal).
11 Captain Fairlie served in the Rohilcund district with the Column under Colonel Jones (Medal).
12 Lieut. Chapman served in the Indian JIutiny Campaign in 1857-58, including the siege and capture of Dhar, Mun-
desore, Chandaree, Jhansi, and Calpee, and actions of Betwa and Koonch (Medal with Clasp).
13 Lieut. Webster served with Lind's Mooltanee Horse during the Indian Mutiny Campaign in 1857-58, and was
present at Kakraole, operations before and capture of BareiUy, Shahjehanpore, and capture of Mohundee (Medal).
14 Lieut. Rivett Cainac served with Fane's Horse during the China Campaign of i860, and was present at the action
of Sinho, taking of Ihe Taku Forts, actions of the 18th and 21st September, and subsequent operations before Pekin.

despatches (Medal with two Clasps). Served in the Abyssinian Campaign witli the Transjiort Corps.
15 Lieut. Biddulph served in the Indian Mutiny Campaign in 18.W-59, and was present at Ihe action of Doundcakera,
taking of the forts of Chanda and Manjredea, and action on the banks of the Raptee (Midal).
16 Lieut. Nethercote served in the Crimean campaign from 22ad Aug. 1855, including the siege and fall of Sebastcpol
(Medal with Clasp, and Turkisli Medal).
17 Riding Master Couch served in the Crimea from April 1855, and has the Crimean Medal with Clasp for Sebastopol,
and Turkish Medal.
18 Surgeon Burland and Doctor Giraud.—For Professional and War Services sec " Medical Department."
19 Qr.Master Langdale served in the 3rd Light Dragoons in the AfTghanistan Campaign »f 1842 under General Pollock,
and was present at the forcing of the Khyber Pass, storming the heights of Jugdulluck, and action in the Tezeen Valley
(Medal). Sutlej Campaign in 1845-46 including the affair of Buddiwal, action of Aliwal (wounded), and battle of
Sobraon (Medal and Clasp). Was present with the Artillery guns at Meerut on the evening of the Mutiny on lOth
May 1857 ; performed Subaltern's duty in the 6tU Dragoon Cluards with Major bayer's Column in suppressing the
Mutiny in the district (Medal).
