in Australia, on 3rd Dec. 1854. Served with the 40th

of the Regiment during the war of 1863-65, and was present
at the battle of Rangariri, and assault and capture of Orakau.
16 Lieut. Dudgeon served in the New Zealand war of
1860-61, and was present at Kaliihi, Matarikoriko, and
operations before Te Arei. Also served in the war of
1863-65 and was present at Rangariri.

2 Lt.ColonelBlyth served in New Zealand dutingthe war in 1863-65, and was present at the battle of Rangariri, the action
of Waira, and commanded 300 men at the assault aud capture of Orakau (mentioned in Dispatches, and Brevet of Lt.Ccl.).
3 Major Hon. F. Le Poer Trench served in the 52nd Light Infantry during the Indian Mutiny campaign in 1857-58
including the defeat of the Seakote mutineers on the banks of the Ravee in July 1857, siege assault and occupation of
Delhi from 13 Aug. to 22nd Sept. 1857 (Medal with Clasp). Served with the 40th Regt. in the New Zealand war of 1663-65
and was present at Rangariri, Waiari, and Orakau.
4 M^or Hinds and Captain Champion-Mijller served in the New Zealand war of 1863-65, and were present at Rangariri
and Orakau.
6 Captain Cook served during the latter part of the war in New Zealand of 1860-61. Also throughout that of 1863-S4
and was present at the battle of Rangariri aud at Ihe assault and capture of Orakau. Was mentioned in dispatches tor
repulsing the Maories on the Great South Road at the commencement of the latter war.
8 Captain Armstrong served in the New Zealand war of 1860-61 and was present at Puketakaurie, Mahoetai, Matari¬
koriko, and repulse of attack on No. 3 Redoubt. Also served in the war of 1863-65, and was present at Orakau.
10 Captain Clarke served in the New Zealand war of 1860-61 and was present at Kahihi, repulse of attack on No. 3
Redoubt, and operations in front of Te Arei. Also served in the war of 1863-65 and was present at Rangariri and Waiari.
11 Captain Mansergh served in the New Zealand war of 1863-65 and was present at Orakau.
12 Captain Hall served with the 18th Royal Irish throughout the war in New Zealand of 1863-65 in Waikato and
Wanganui.
18 Captain Morphy sewed m the New Zealand war of 1860-61. Also in that of 1863-65 and was present at the attack
on the Gate Pali.
18 Lieut. Burton served with the 40th Regt. during the New Zealand war of 1860-6], including the actions at
Mahoetai, Matarikoriko, and operations l^icfore Te Arei. Also throusbout the campaign of 1863-65, for two years as
D.A.Q.M. General. During the operations in Waikato he sui]erintended to its completion, the constiuction and organi¬
zation of the Military Electric Telegraph through the Waikato country (mentioned in dispatches).
19 Lieut. Phillips served in the New Zealand war of 186S-65 and was present at Rangariri.
20 Lieut. Cartwright served in the New Zealand war of 1863(15 and was present at the attack on the Gate Pali,
21 Lieut. Stack served in the New Zealand war of 1863-65 as Adjutant of the Commissariat Transport Corps,
22 Lieut. King served in the New Zealand war of 1863-65 and was present at Waiari.
