88 Lieut.CoIonel John Christopher Harrison served at the siege of Copanbagen and capture
of the Danish fleet in 1807 ; the campaign of Martinique, niege and capture of Fort Bourbon in
1809. Served afterwards in the Peninsula and was present at the actions of Redinha and Canipo
Mayor, siege and capture of Olivenca, siege of Badajoz in 1811, battle of Albuhera (severely
wounded), siege and capture of Ciudad Rodrigo, siege and storming of Badajoz (received three
severe wounds on the grand breacli of San Trinidad). He has received the War Medal with four
Clasp-, and also the Waterloo Medal.
89 Lt.Colonel Hawkins served witli the 1st Battalion Royals the Eastern Campaign of 1834
and up to .3rd July 1855, including the battles of Alma and Inkcrman, and siege of Sebastopol
(Medal and Clasps, Brevet Lieut.CoIonel, 5th Clasi of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
90 Lt.Colonel the Honorable C. R. Hay served with the Scots Fusilier Guards in the Crimea
from 2nd May 1855, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish
Medal).
91 Lt.Colonel Haygai-th served with the Scots Fusilier Guards in the Eastern campaign of
1854 until severely wounded at the battle of Alma—shot through shoulder and thigli (Medal
and Clasp, 5th Class of ttie Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
92 Lt.Colonel Heneage served witli the Coldstreain Guards in the Crimean campaign from
18th Oct. 1854, including the battles of Balaklava and Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol
(Medal with three Clasps, 5tli Class of the Medjidie, and Tarkish Medal).
d-2f Lt.Colonel Hibbert served in tlie 50th Rcgt. the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including
the battles of Alma, Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasps, Brevet Major,
Sardinian Medal, and 5th Class of the Medjidie).
93 Lt.Colonel Hillier acted as Aide de Camp to Brigadier Cureton in the action of Maharajpore,
'29th Dec. 1843 (Medal); and served as Aide de Camp to the Governor General, with the array
of the Sntlej, and was severely wounded in the action at Moodkee (Medal).
94 Lt.Colonel Holder served with the Scots Fusilier Guards at the siege and fall of Sebastcpol
from Nov. 1854 (Medal and Clasp, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
95 Lt.Colonel Holmes served with the 43rd Light Infantry in the New Zealand war in 1865.
OG Lt.Colonel E. D. Hunt sened with the 9th Lancers in the last Puiijaub campaign, and was
present at the battles of ChiUianwallah and Goojerat (Medal and Clasps). Served the Eastern
campaign with the 6th Dragoons, including the battles of Balaklava, Inkerman, and Tchernaya,
and siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasps, Sardinian and Turkish Medals, and 5th Class
of the Medjidie).
97 Lt.Colonel Hutchins commanded three Companies of the 12th Regt. during the New
Zealand war of 1800-61 (Brevet of Lt.Colonel).
98 Lt.Colonel D. W. G. James served in the campaign in the Southern Mahratta country in
1844 (including the storm and capture of the fortress of Punella), and part of that in the Con-
can and Sawant Warree country in 1844 and 45. Also in the Kaffir war of 1851-52 (Medal) ;
and with the expedition north of the Orange River in 1852-3.
99 Sir Samuel Raymond Jarvis served with the 25th at the capture of Martinique in 1809, and
of Guadaloupe in 1810, for which he has received the silver War Medal with two Clasps.
100 Lt.Colonel Hon. J. S. Jocelyn served witli the Scots Fusilier Guards in tlie Eastern cam¬
paign of 1854 and up to 1 July 1855 including the battles of Alma, Baluklava, and Inkerman,
siege of Sebastopol, and sortie of 26th Oct. (Medal and Clasps, Knight of the Legion of Honor,
5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
101 Lieut.CoIonel Wm. Fred. Johnston served in the Peninsula in 1814. Was present at the
battles of Quatre Bras and Waterloo, and taking of Peronne.
102 Lt.Colonel H. M. Jones served with the 13th Lt. Infantry in the Crimea from 30th Juno
1855, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp, 5th Class of the Medjidie,
and Turkish Medal). Also in the Indian campaign of 1857-58 (Brevet of Major and Medal).
104 Lieut.Colonel Kingscote served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, as Aide-de-Camp to
Lord Raglan, includins: the battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol
(Medal and Clasps, CB., and Turkish Medal).
105 Lt.Colonel Leai-month served with the 17th Lancers in the Eastern campaign of 1854-55
(Medal and Clasp for Sebastopol, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). Also in the
Indian campaign of 1857-58 (Medal).
107 Lt.Culonel Le Couteur served during the whole of the last war in America. He was
Adjutant to Colonel De Harem, who commanded the Light Division and seven hundred Indians,
under Generals Vinccfit and De Rottenburg on the Niagara frontier ; was engaged at Sackett's
Harbour, the battle of Niagara, and was in the storming division at Fort Erie, where he was
blown up by the springing of a mine ; present also at the action of the Cross Roads and many
skirmishes with the Light Division.
108 Lt.Colonel Lewes served with " The Buffs" at the siege of Sebastopol in 1855, and
commanded the covering party of the Buffs at the assault of the Redan on the 8lh Sept. (Medal
and Clasp, Brevet Major, Knight of the Legion of Honor, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and
Turkish Medal).
109 Lt.Colonel Lewis served with the 68 ih Light Infantry throughout the Eastern
campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma and Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol
(Medal and four Clasps, Brevets of Major and Lt.Colonel, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish
Medal).
110 Sir John Scott Lillie served in the 6th Regt. with the first expedition to Portugal in 1808,
and was present at the battles of Holeia and Vimiera, and capture of Lisbon. In 1809, as
Captain in the Lusitanian Legion, in yariouB engagements for the defence of Portugal during
