Rifle Brigade.—1 Lt.Colonel de Sails served as a volunteer with the Cape Mounted Riflemen during the Kaffir
war of 1851-32 (Medal),
* Major Frobisher served with the S5th Regiment on the Bhootan expedition, including the recapture of Dewan-
giri in 1863 (Medal with Clasp).
' Colonel Hon. W. J. Forbes served with the Grenadier Guards in the Crimea from 29th Dec. 1834 and has the
Medal with Clasp for Sebastopol, and Turkish Medal.
* Captain Marshall served in the Umbeyla campaign of 1863 against the BonejTS and other Hill Tribes on the
N.W. Frontier of India (Medal with Clasp). Also in the Bhootan expedition of 1834-66, including the recapture of
Dewangiri (Clasp).
' Major Prust served throughout the campaign of i860 in China (Medal with two Clasps).
'" Major Nott served with the Field Force against the rebel Karens in Burmah in Jan. 1837, and on two
occasions commanded a Detachment of the 33th Regt. engaged with the enemy, and received a letter of approbation
from the Governor General in Council. Sex'ved with the 35th Regiment during the Indian mutiny in 1837-58.
" Captain Lamb served with the ist Battalion Rifle Brigade throughout tho Eastarn campaign of 1834-55,
including the battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol, and attack of the Redan on
the i8th June (Medal with four Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
War Services of Officers of Yeomanry Cavalry.
Denbighshire.—' Lt.Colonel Morrison served with the 19th Foot in the Eastern campaign of 1854, including
the battle of the Alma and siege of Sebastopol (Medal with two Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
Leicestershire.—' Major Gibsone served in the Eastern campaign from the i6th July 1853, and was
present at the battle of the Tchernaya and siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
Served in the Indian Mutiny in 1858-9 with the Central India Field Force (Medal).
Northumberland.—' Major Upton served witli a detachment of the ist V/est India Regiment at the storm and
capture of the strongly-stockaded town of Sabajee on the Gambia, in June 1833. Served with the gth Lancers in
suppression of the Indian Mutiny in 1857-9, '^"'1 present at the battle of Budlekeserai (horse shot), siege of Delhi,
siege and captiu-e of Lucknow, the summer campaign in Oiiile and Rohilcund, and actions at Rhodamow and
Allygunge, capture of Bareilly, action at Shahjehanpore and pursuit to Mahomdeo, passage of the Gogra at
F.yzabari (Medal with Clasps).
Yorkshire.—' Major Clark served with the loth Kussars in the Crimea from the 17th April 1855 (Medal with
Clasp for Sebastopol, and Turkish Medal).
