' Lord Caledon served with the Household Cavalry in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present in the
engagements of Bl Magfar and Mahsama, in the action at Kassasin (9th September), and at the battle of Tel-el-
Kehir and the capture of Cairo (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
Glouoestershlre Regiment.—' Major A. A. Wilkie served with the 38th Regiment at the siege and fall of
Sebastopol from 23rd July 1855 (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served in the Indian campaign from Nov.
1857, including the battle of Cawnpore, capture of Meangunge, siege and capture of Lucknow, affairs of Barree and
Nugger (Medal and Clasp).
Worcestershire Regiment.—1 ColonelNorbury served as Captain in the 6th Dragoon Guards in the Crimean cam¬
paign from 2nd July to 4th Sept. 1855, and was present at the battle of the Tchernaya and siege of Sebastopol
(Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
East Lancashire Regiment.—' Captain Rowland served with the yjrd Regiment in the Indian Mutiny campaign,
including the operations in the Gorruckpore in 1858, and on the Nepaul frontier in 1859 (Medal). Served with
the 59th Regiment in the Afghan war of 1878-80 with the Candahar Column under Sir Donald Stewart, including
the advance on and occupation of Khelat-i-Ghilzie. and also the second advance on that place under Lt.General
Hughes. Was present in the engagements at Ahmed Kheyl and Urzoo near Ghuznee, and in the subsequent
operations in the Logar Valley (Medal with Clasp).
East Surrey Regiment.—' Colonel Evelyn was present at the defence of Kalafat in 1854. He was appointed
by the British Government to serve under General Cannon with the Staff of the Turkish Army, in which he re¬
ceived the rank of Kaimakan. He accompanied the Allied expedition to the Crimea, and was present in the
battles of the Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman; in the Trenches before Sebastopol, and at the defence of Eupatoria.
Received the honorary rank of Lt.Colonel in the British Army 23rd Oct. 1857 (Medal with four Clasps for the Crimea,
4th Class of the Medj"idie, and Turkish Medal).
^ Major Scott served in the 17th lancers in the Indian mutiny campaign in 1858-59, including the pursuit of
Ta.ntia Topee and action of Zerapore (Medal).
' Captain Haines served in the New Zealand war of 1863-66 (Medal).
West Riding Regiment.—1 Captain Holroyd served with the 65th Regiment in the New Zealand war in 1864-65
(Medal).
^ Major Douglas served with the 33ril Regiment throughout the Ab,ys3iniau campaign of 1867-68, and was
Bresent at the storming and capture of Magdala (Medal).
Border Regiment.—1 Colonel Draffen served in the Baltic during the latter part of 1854 (Medal). Was at the
Dlockade of Odessa, and also before Sebastopol during the siege in 1855 (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
^ Captain T. A. Irwin served in the Ashanti war from the 30th November 1B73, and was in command of the Post
at Moinzoy (Medal with Clasp).
Sussex Regiment.—' Colonel Aldridge served with the 21st Fusiliers in the Eastern campaign of 1854-55,
including the liattle of Alma, siege and fall of Sebastopol, and attack on the Redan on the i8th June : also the
expedition to Kinbourn (Medal with two Clasps, Brevet of Major, and Turkish Medal).
'' Major Goring served with the 33rd Regiment in the Abyssinian campaign of 1867-68 (Medal).
Hampshire Regiment.—'- Lieut. Colonel Briggs served with the ist Dragoon Guards in the Crimea from the
10th August 1855, including the battle of the Tchernaya, and siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and
Turkish Medal).
^ Captain Pierson served with the 67th Regt. in the Afghan war of 1S78-80, and was present in the engagement
at Charasiab on the 6th October i8;9, and in the operations around Gabul in December 1879 including the invest¬
ment of Sherpore (Medal with two Clasps).
Soutb Staffordshire Regiment.—' Captain Sowton served with the 3Sth Regiment in the Crimea in 1854-55,
including the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served in the Indian
campaign from Nov. 1857, Including the battle of Cawnpore and defeat of the Gwalior contingent, capture of
Meeangunge, siege and capture of Lucknow, and affiiir of Barree (Medal with Clasp). Served in the Uazara cam¬
paign in 1868.
Dorsetshire Regiment.—' Colonel Bingham served 24 years in the Indian Army, and was with his Regiment in
the Burmese war of 1824-25-26, forwhichhe has the War Medal with one Clasp.
'■' Colonel Hall served with the 14th Regiment in the Crimea in 1855, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol,
and assaults of the i8th June and 8th September (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
Welsh Regiment.—' Capiaiu E. P. Kemeys-'i'ynte served with iho ist Battalion 24th Foot throughout the Zulu
war of 1879 (Medal with Clasp).
Black Watch.—' Lord Stormont served with the Grenadier Guards in the Crimea from the 29th Aug. 1855, in¬
cluding the siege ard fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
Oxfordshire Light Infantry.—' Ma.jor Powell served with the 49th Regt. in the Crimean campaign from the ist
Sept. 1855, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
Essex Regiment.—"' Major Newton served in the Crimea from 3rd May 1855 with the Buffs, including the siege
and fall of Sebastopol, and assault of the Redan on the 8th September (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
^ Major Holroyd served with the 34th Regiment in the Crimea from the loth August 1855, including the siege
and fall of Sebastopol and assault of the Redan on the 8th September (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Also
in the Indian campaigns in 1857-59, including the actions at Cawnpore on the 26th, 27th, and 28th (wounded) Nov.
1857, capture of Meeanguiige, siege and capture of Lucknow, relief of Azimghur (was Staff Officer to the Azimghur
column in the winter of 1858-9), and defeat of the rebels at Bootwul (Medal with Clasp).
^ Major Arthur Wortliington served at the siege and fall of Bebastopol from 3rd September 1855 (Medal with
Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
^ Captain Cousins served in the Crimean campaign in 1855, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol, arid
expedition to Kinbourn (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served in the Indian Mutiny campaign in
1857-58, including the actions at Ca\vnpore under General Windham, affair at Bhognapore, sieges of Calpee and
Selimr)ore (Medal with Clasp).
Derbyshire Regiment.—' Colonel Coke has received the Medal for Ava.
^Colonel Mosley served with the 60th Ritles in Kuffirland in 1851-52, and was present in the operations in the
Wa-terkloof m October, and passage of the Kei with Colonel Eyre's Column on the 4th Dec. 1851 (Medal).
3 Major Hurt served in the Royal Navy in the Ba tic in 1S54 and in the Black Sea in 18^4-56 (Baltic Medal,
Crimean Medal with Clasps for Azoff and s'ebastopoi, Turkish Medal, .and 5th Class of the Medjidie).
" Captain Reid served with the 95th Regiment, throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the
battles of Alma and Inkerman. repulse of the soitie of the 26th Oct. 1S54, siege and fall of Seoastopol (Medal
with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal). Served also the Central India campaign of 1858, including the siege and
capture of Kottih, recapture of Chundaree, action of Kota ke Serai, attack and capture of the town and fortress of
Gwalior, siege and capture of Powree, surprise and defeat of the rebels at Khoondrye (Medal with Clasp). Has
also the Medal for long and meritorious service.
North Lancashire Regiment.—' Lt.Colonel Sandys ser^'ed in Bengal through the Sepoy Mutiny in 1857-58.
Beikshire Regiment.—' Captain Preston served with the 94th Foot in the operations against Sekukuni in 1879,
and was present at the capture of the stronghold (Me'lal with Clasp).
West Kent Regiment.—' Captain Woodrulfe served with the 97th Regiment in the Crimea from the 20th Nov.
i8s4, including tV.s siege and fail of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
^ i^uarter Master Clitford served with the 2 ist Fusiliers in the Zulu war of 1879, and was present in the engage-
jiicnt at Ulundi (Medal with Cl sp). Seivel in the Boer war in i83o-8i, and tooK part in the defence of
Pretoria.
South Yorkshire Regiment.—' Captain Murray served with the 51st Light Infantry throughout the Burmese
war of 1852-53; was on board the steam-frigate Fei-ooz during the naval action with and destruction of the
nemy's stockades on the Rangoon river, and served during the succeeding three days' operations in the vicinity,
