•'5 Quarter Master Crawford served with the 80th Regiment the Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, including the battles
of Moodkeo, Ferozeshah, and Sobraon (Medal and two Clasps).
2* Captain Daines served with the 74th Regiment in the Kaffir war of 1851-52 (Medal).
-^Captain J. Darker served with the 23rd Fusiliers in the Indian campaign of 1857-58, including the relief
of Lucknow by Lord Clyde, defeat of the Gwalior Contingent at Cawnpore, siege and fall of Lucknow (Medal with
two Clasps, and a year's service).
-' Major Daly served the Punjaub campaign of 1S48-49, including the siege of Mooltan, attack of the suburbs,
storm of the city, and surrender of the fortress; also the battle of Goojerat, surrender of the Sikh Army at Rawnl
Pindee, and pursuit of the Affghans to the Khybcr Pass (Medal with two Clasps). Engaged in suppressing the
mutiny of the 62nd a,n« 6qth P.engal N.I. and Horse Artillery at Mooltan on 31st Aug. 1858 (Medal).
25 Major Deacon served with the 31st Regiment in the Crimean campaign from the 22nd May 1855, including the
siege and fall of Sebastopol aud attacks of the i8th June and 8th September (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish
Medal). Served throughout the campaign of i860 in the North of China, including the action of Sinho and
storming of Tangku (Modal with Clasp for the Taku Forts). Acted as Quarter Master of the 31st Regiment
during the operations against the Taepings. in the vicinity of Shanghai in 1862, resulting in the taking of the
stockade at Nanksiang. capture by escalade of the walled cities of Kading, Tsinpoo, Tsolin, and the fortified town
of Najow, the affair of Nanksiang, and recapture of Kading.
^'■' Captain Drage sensed in the Crimea with the Grenadier Guards from April to October 1855, and with the 31st
Regiment to the end of the siege (Medal with Clasp for Sebastopol, and Turkish Medal).
^' Captain Elson served in the Indian mutiny campaign, including the capture of Ratghur, action of Barodia,
relief of Saugor, capture of Garrakota, forcing of the Muddenpore Pass, siege and storm of Jhansi, and battle of
the Betwa (Medal with Clasp).
^- Major Forbes served with the 42nd Highlanders throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, inchiding the
battles of Alma and Balaklava, expedition to Kertch and Yenikali, siege and fall of Sebastopol, and assaults of
the 18th June and 8th September (Medal with three ('lasps, aud Turkish Medal). Served also the campaign of
1S57-58 aga-inst the mutineers in India, including the action.? at Ca-wnpore (6th Dec. 1857), Seraighaut, Khoda-
gungo, and Shumshabad, siege and fall of Lucknow, and assault of the Martinicre, Banks' Bungalo, and Begum's
Kotee, attack on the Fort of Roohea, action at AUygunge, battle of Bareilly. and action at Sisseaghaut (Medal
with Clasp). Served throughout the second phase of the Ashanti war in 1S74, and was present at the battle of
Amoaful, battle of Ordahsu and capture of Coomassie (Medal with Clasp). Served with the ist Battalion Black
Watch in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (mentioned in despatches,
Honorary rank of Captain, Good Service pension. Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
"5 Captain Falconer served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma, Balaklava, and
Inkerman, siege and fail of Sebastopol (Medal with four Cla,sp8, and Turkish Medal).
'* Captain Parrant served in the Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, and was present at the battle of Ferozeehah
(Medal). Burmese war of 1852-53, including the relief of Pegu, and with General Peel's Column to Martaban and
Thongoo (Medal with Clasp). Indian mutiny campaign, including the battle of Budleekeserai, siege and opera¬
tions before Delhi, a ctions of Narnoul, Kassgiinge, Puttialee, and Mynpoorie, capture of Lucknow. and subsequent
operations in Oude (Medal with two Clasps). Served in the Indian N.W. Frontier war of 1863 (Claspi.
'^ Captain Fonn served with the 10th Hussars in the Crimean campaign in 1855, including the capture of Tchor-
gaun, battle of the Tchcrnaya, siege aud fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
3' Captain FitzHonry served with the 60th Rifles in the Kaffir war of 1851-53 (Medal).
" Captain H. B. M. Foster served with the 4otih Regiment throughout the New Zealand war of 1861. Also
throughout that of 1863-65 (Medal).
^ Captain George Eraser served with the 6th Dragoon Guards in the Crimea, from 14th Aug. 1855, including
the battle of the Tchernaya, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Also in India
from the outbreak of the mutiny in 1857 until the pacification of Oude in 1858, including Trans-Gogra campaign, at
Dhoonderkara, commjinded the skirmishers in the advance previous to the attack on Benhi Madlio's Force, and
commanded a Troop in the action and pursuit, also present at the affair of Mageenia, Churda, and Bankee (captured
)i gun and some ammunition-waggons), and pursuit tq the Raptee (Medal).
*' Captain G. B. Freeman served with the 87th Fusiliers throughout the Indian mutiny of 1857-58 (Medal).
♦° Captain Fuller served with the i6th Lancers at the battle of Mnharajpore on 29th Dec. 1843 (Bronze Star). .Also
Che Sutlej campaign of 1846, including the battles of Buddiwal, Aliwal, and Sobraon (Medal and Clasp).
*i Captain Gamble served the Sutlej campaign of 1S45-46 with the 62nd Regiment, including the battles of Feroze-
tthah (severely wounded) and Sobraon (Medal andClasp). Served in the Crimea from Nov. 1854, including the siege
and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkisli Medal).
<'t Major Gilbert served with the 3rd Buffs in the Crimean campaign from April 1855, including thel siege and
fail of Sebastopol (wounded in the Trenches on the 6th June), iittack of the Redan on the 18th ,lune, and belonged
to the covering and ladder party of the 2nd Division at the storming of the Redan on the 8th September 1855
(Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
** Captain T. G. Gilby served in the China war in 1S42, and was present at the storming of Chin Kiang Foo and
operations before Nankru (Medal).
*3 Captain C. Godfrey served with the Royal Engineers in the expedition to the Baltic in 1854, and was present
at the siege and capture of Bomarsund (Medal). Served with the Royal Engineers in the Trenches belbre Sebas¬
topol from i8th Dec. 1854 to the close of the siege, and was present at the taking of the Rifle-pit on 21st April, and
the sortie on the right sap right attack on 30th Aug. (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
♦* Major Geary served with the 53rd Regiment in the campaign of 1851-52 against the Hill Tribes on the
Peehaw'ur Frontier (Medal with Clasp). Also the Indian campaign of 1857-59, including the action of Khujwah,
relief of Lncknow by Lord Cl.yde, battle of Cawnpore on the 6th December and pursuit of the Gvvalior Contingent
to Serai Ghat, action of Khodagunge aud entry into Futtehghur, affair of Shumshabad, storm and capture of
Meangunge, siege and capture of Lucknow. affair of Koorsie, passage of the Goomtee and occupation of Sultan-
pore, passage of the Gogra at Fj-zabad on the 25th November, action of Toolsepore, and minor affairs (Medal with
two Clasps).
**t Major Grahame served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 with the 21st Fusiliers, including the battles of
Alma and Inkerman, siego and fall of Sebastopol, and expedition to Kinboum (Medal with three Clasps, and
Turkish Medal).
" Captain Grier served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 with the 88th Regiment, including the battles of Ahna
Bnd Inkorman, siege of Sebastopol, attack of the Quarries (wounded), and attack of the Redan on 18th June (Medal
with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
•"' Captain Griffin served in ttie Indian mutiny ciimpaign in 1857-58, including the actions of Amorah on 17th and'
25th April and 9th June 1S58, capture of the Fort of Nuggur. actiim j of Debrenh and Toolsepore (Medal).
♦7 Captain Griffith served with the 5tli Dragoon Guards during the Eatteru campaign of 1854-55. including the
battles of Halaklava. Inkorman, and Tchemny.a, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, Turkish
Medal, and French War Medal).
*8 Captain Guernsey served with the45th Regiment in the Kaffir war of 1846-47, and in the field against the enemy
in the Orange River'Sovereignt.y between 24th Dec. 1B50 and 6th Feb. 1853 (Medal). Served in the Abyssinian '
campaign in 1868 a,nd was present at the storming and capture of Magdala (.\Iedal).
*'^ Major Grintell served the ciimi)aign of 1854-55 in the Crimea, including the battle of Inkerman and siege of
Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal). Served also in Now Zealand in 1863-66, including-
