battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkennan, siege and fall of Sebastopol, and sortie of 26th October (Medal with four
Clasps, 5th Class of the Metljidie, and Turkish Medal).
2 Captain Anderson served with the 49th Regiment throughout the operations in China, including the first taking
of Chusan, storm and capture of Canton, capture of Amo.y, second capture of Chusan, cajjture of the Heights of
Chinhae, occupation of Niiigpo and repulse of the night attack, cajituro of Chapoo, Woosung, and Chin Kiang Pool.
Served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma and Inkerman, siege and fall of Seba8*opo.,

ihe Jhelum, and of the Atfghans across the Indus, with their expulsion beyond the Khyber Pass (Meilal witu
two Clasps). Persian campaign of 1S57 (Medal with Clasp). Indian campaign of 1857-58, including the .siipprus-
sion of the mutiny at Arungabad, siege and capture of Dhar, actions of Mundesore (severely wounded), reliof of

" Captain J. Clarke served with the 33rd Regiment throughout the Crimean war, including the Iiattle of Alma
(wounded), taking of Balaklava, battle of Inkerman, taking of the Quarries, and storming of i,lie Redan, with tho
-terming party on the i8th June and 8th September (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
IS Captain G. Clements served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 with the ist Roj'al Dragoons, including the
attles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol (Medal with four Clasps, and Turki.sh Medal),
'" Captain W. Cliff served throughout the Gwalior Campaign of 1843, including the battle of Punniar (Bronze
â– itar). Served throughout the Sutlej Campaign of 1845-46, including the battles of Moodkoe, Ferozeshah, and
-Sobraon (Medal and two Clasps). Also throughout the Punjaub Campaign of 1848-49, includiug the actions of
lamnuggur, passage of the Chenab, battles of Sadoolapore, Chillianwalla, and Goojerat (three times mentioned in
Lespatches, Medal with two Clasps). Served in the Indian Mutiny Campaign in 1857-58, and was present at the
lattlc of Budleke Serai and subsequent operations before Delhi including its siege and capture from 8th June to
[ 2nd Sept. 1857—commanded two heav.v guns from the 14th until the night of the 22nd September. Afterward.*
I'resent at the actions of Bolundshur, Allyghur, and Agra, relief of Lucknow including the attack on I)ilkoo.^ha,
La Martiniere, and Secunderabad; battle of Cawnpore on 6th December, action of Khodagnnge and retaking of
' 'uttehghur (mentioned in despatches. Modal with two Clasps). Commissioned as Ensign for having distinguished
imself on several occasions, but more particularly at the capture of Delhi, and considered by the Commander m
hief in India as eminently worthy of reward.
'" Captain Clinton served with the 82nd Regiment in the Crimea from 2nd September 1855 (Medal with Clasp for
ebastopol, and Turkish Medal).
2" Captain Cordne was present with the 59th Regiment at the operations before and capture of Canton in i3:;7

21 Captain Crabtree served with the 3rd Light Dragoons throughout the campaign of 1842 in Affghanistan, and
