Sir Richard Taylor served the Eastern campaign of 1854-35 (save the interval between 9th Feb. and tsth
June 1855) with the 79th Highlanders, including the battles of Alma and Balaklava, and full siege of Sebastopol
<Medal with three Clasps, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). Commanded the 79th Highlanders from
Feb. to i6th Nov. 1858 in the Indian campaign, including the siege and capture of Lucknow, and commanded a
Brigade in Oude fsem Nov. 1838 to Jan. 1859 (mentioned in despatches, CB., Brevet of Colonel, Medal with Clasp).
" Lt.ColonelMoney served in the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 with thq Cameron Highlanders (Medal with Clasp,
and Khedive's Star). Served throughout the operations of the Soudan Frontier Field Force in 1885-86 as Assistant
Military Secretary to Sir Frederick Stephenson, and was Jjresent in the engagement at Giniss imentioned in
despatches, DSO.).
'^ Major Hunt served with the Cameron Highlanders throughout the Egyptian war of 18B2, and was present at
the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (mentioned in despatches, Brevet of Major, Medal with Clasp, 4th Class of the Medjidie,
and Khedive's Star); also served throughout the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 with the Cameron Highlanders (Clasp).
Served throughout the operations of the Soudan Frontier Field Force in 1883-86 with the Cameron Highlanders, and
was present at Kosheh during its investment and in the engagement at Giniss.
'* Major Ken»edy served with the ist Battalion Black Watch in the Egyptian war of 1882 as Regimental Trans¬
port OfHcer, and was preaent at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served
in the Soudan Expedition in 1884 as Transport Officer ist Battalion Black Watch, and was present in the engage¬
ments at El Teb and Temai (two Clasps). Served in the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 with the ist Battalion of the
Black Watch, took part with the River Column under Major General Earle, and was preient in the engagement at
Kirbekan—severely wounded (two Clasps).
