of 1863-64, and at the Umbeyla Pass under Sir John Garvock (Medal with Ciasp).

capture of Mohumra and subsequent jjursuit of the Persian army (Medal witli Clasp). Uas present during the
operations against the insurgent Dessaies in the North Canara and Bedee districts from is'h FfUruary to 23rd Jlay
1858; proceeded with the detachment sent from Dharwar to reinforce the colnnm under Colonel Malcolm beforo
Nurgoond.

on its advance to Tonghoo; also at the attack upon Kyouk Douay, and other affairs during the march (Medal with
Clasp for Pegu). Commanded a detachment during the disturbances in Kimedy m 1856. Served in Bengal with
Madras Rifles during the mutinies in 1857-59 (Medal). \

and Nerbudda Field Division, and was present at the affairs of Jejunge and Kubai, general action of Banda (men¬

el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served throughout the Nile Expeilition in 1834-85 with the
Cameron Highlanders, and was Commandant of Korosko from the ist April to the 20th July 1885 (Ckasp). Com¬
manded the Cameron Highlanders throughout the operations in the Eastern Soudan in 1S85-S6 under Sir Frederick
Stephenson, was Commandant of advanced posts from the 26th November to 291(1 December, and was present at
the defence of Fort Kosheh and in the engagement at Giniss (mentioned in desjiatches, VSO.).
