' Lt.Goueral Drysdale served with the 4th Light Dragoons during the campaign in Afighanistan under Lord
Keane, and was present at the siege and capture of Ghuznee (Medal). Served with the gth Lancers in the Gwalior
campaign, including the action at Pimniar, 2gthDec. 1843 (Bronze Star). The Sutlej campaign in 1845-46, including
the battle ofSobraon (Medal and Clasp). The Punjaub campaign of 1848-49, including the passage of the Chenab
.It Ramnuggur, and battles of Chillianwallah and Goojerat (Medal with two Clasps). The Indian campaign of
1857-59, and present at Delhi during the siege operations, commanding the Regt. from iSth Aug. to the fall of the
■city—horse shot at the assault; commanded the Regt. with Greathed's Column, in action at Bolundshuhur, horse
shot (wounded), and present in the actions of Allyghur and Agra (mentioned in despatch); also present at the

action, and was severely wounded), and in the operations around Cabul in December 1879 (mentioned in despatches);
Accompanied Sir Frederick Roberts in the march to Candahar, and was present at the battle of Candahar
(mentioned in despatches. Brevet of Major, Medal with two Clasps, and Bronze Decoration).
" Major Gough served with the gth Lancers in the Afghan war of 1878-80, and was present at the capture of All
Musjid, the attair at Kiila Kazi, and in the operations around Cabul in December 1879; accompanied Sir
Frederick Roberts in the march to Candahar, and took part in the battle of Candahar (several times mentioned in
despatches. Brevet of Major, Medal with three Clasps, and Bronze Decoration).
