Inkerman (twice wounded, and horse shot under him); present throughout the siege operations against Sebastopol.
and in the Trenches at the two assaults and the fall of the town ; at Inkerman he succeeded to the command of the
4th Division (Medal with four Clasps, CB., Ofaoer of the Legiou of Honor, Sardinian and Turkish Medals, and 3rd
Class of the Medjidie).
