shah, and Sobraon (iledal and two Clasps). Also the Punjaub campaign of 1848-49, including the affair at Bam-
nugg'ur, passage of the Chenab, action of Sadoolapore, and battles of Chillianwallah and Goojerat (Medal with two
Clasps).

' Major Irby served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma and Inkerman, capture of
Balaklava, siege of Sebastopol, repulse of sortie on 26th Oct. 1855, and storming the QuaiTics on 7th June 1855—
severely wounded, left leg amputated (mentioned in despatches. Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
^ Doctor J, A. M'Munn served in the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the siege of Sebastopol (Medal with
Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
3 Doctor T. Ligertwood served throughout the Crimean eamp<iign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma (men¬
tioned in despatches) a,nd Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, Knight of the Legion of
Honor, and Turkish Medal).
■* Colonel W. R. Parmar served with the 50th Regiment in the Sutlej campaign in 1846, and was present at the
affair of Buddiwal and action of Aliwal (Medal), at which last action he was severely wounded in the right thigh
by a grape-shot while carrying the Queen's Colour. Served with the 82nd Regiment in the Indian campaign of
1857-58, iticluriing the actions of Cawnpore on the 26th 27th and 28th November and 6th December, capture of
Fut-teghur, action at Kankur, capture of Bareilly, rebel' of Shahjehanpore, and actions around. The Company
under his command was mentioned in General Windham's despatch for its conduct on the 28th November in the
capture of two i8 pounders (Medal, and Brevet of Major).
' Lieut. James Watson served in the Sutlej canipaipn 0' 1845-46 with the 50th Regiment, and was present at the
battles of Moodkoe, Ferozeshah, Aliwal, and Sobraon—severe',y contused, bullet wound in the chest (Medal with
three Clasps). Served throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-35, including the battles of Alma and lukerman,
and siege of Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
